“We decided at the last minute to go for a late lunch, and thought that The Chequers would be a good option as we liked the look of their patio area. From the minute we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming.The food was absolutely amazing! And I am not exaggerating! I had the mushroom special starter + skinny fries and it was lush! (I have asked that they add it to the standard menu as I will want this again next time!). The salted caramel and chocolate tarte was absolutely gorgeous - not too sweet, not too much (sad that I choose to share it with my daughter!). Genuinely the best meal we have had in a really long time, and we will definitely be back ;)”
