A lovely historic location with a great ambience for a Sunday roast. The food was excellent for most of us. The only problem with one selection was more because of choice rather than the recipe itself. The service was good except for the end when we were finishing our main course. We had been at our table of 6 for a little less than 90 minutes when we were asked by the waitress to hurry up and finish because of an overlapping reservation. Quite rude and unexpected that diminished the experience a little as first time visitors.

Came here in the summer and it’s was much better it this time (March) not good. Ordered buffalo wings with a bbq sauce, chunky chips and salsa and some mayo. The wings were tiny, definitely not worth £8:50 !! (See photo), there was no BBQ sauce, some of the chips weren’t fully cooked and the salsa was horrible. Food came out with no mayo so had to ask again and I asked about the BBQ sauce and the waitress said “ did you ask”? She went away saying she would check and didn’t come back.Crap!!!! Will think twice about coming a third time!!

Fabulous place good choice of beers fantastic Irish coffee food 100% even bar snacks 100% all ways worth the visit polite and welcoming staff ,staff Caroline, priscilla,rowan,molly, Rob and rest of the team all do a fantastic job not forgetting the chefs the food is the best I have ever eaten well worth the visit what can I say leo, emime and dina you have the perfect team 100% to you all

Close to the motorway and so much better than the services. We had quick meal and moved on, it did what we needed.I feel a bit mean as the atmosphere here is lovely and the food was ok, but it wasn’t WOW.The halloumi burger was pleasant but missing out in any zing. A richer burger bun would help, this was a plain bun not the advertised brioche bun.Service was pleasant, again not wow, as we were sitting around quite a while.Todays “joke”, I suspect you’ve heard before.What did the cheese say to itself in the mirror?Halloumi.
