We went for the Jazz Afternoon Tea £45 per head. The Venue is very attractive and we were greeted by friendly staff. Tables well laid, staff polite, tea and coffee ordered. The Jazz band ( 2 men ) were great, good selection of Jazz, most enjoyable. Unfortunately we couldn’t say the same for the soggy sandwiches. How they were even sent out looking like they did was beyond us. The first sandwich which was a bread pink in colour had almost disintegrated through moisture revealing a thick slice of cheese, very unappetising. The others were ok but nothing special. 2 sausage rolls again ok and 2 brioche buns which were pretty hard filled with egg. These sandwiches certainly hadn’t been freshly made and seeing something going on at a different table lead us to believe another group had ask for theirs to be changed. The scones were fine, kept warm by the napkin around them and the small cakes were again ok but nothing overly special. We have had a large number of afternoon teas over the years and paid a variety of different prices, some much higher others lower. Of them this was sadly the worse by far. That goodness for the Jazz band.

This late 19th century Hall has history, and grounds that are beautiful. The gardens, walled, open and water, are very well maintained. Rooms are large and very well kept. Staff very accommodating and well dressed. The lounges are large as you would expect. Everything you see it from the period. It truly is an experience worth trying. The evening meal, was exceptional, with a pianist playing well known modern tunes in a contemporary manner. Room service lovely. Swimming pools both inside and out were warm and lovely to relax in. (I would say the inside pool needed a bit of repair. (The Jacuzzi seemed to have water flowing from between the small tiles and the ladder to climb out at the opposing end was loose and a little corroded). But please bear in mind the small niggles were far outweighed by the pleasing atmosphere Tyndley Hall offers. My wife and I cannot wait to stay again later in the year.

Wow, probably the best business meeting venue I have ever visited! And I have travelled all over the world for work. Meeting area was gorgeous, as was the venue as a whole. Plenty of parking which felt safe, and the views are stunning. Food and breakout nibbles were awesome. This budget meeting felt more like a relaxing, luxurious spa! We had a team event in the evening which was fun and engaging - never thought I’d say that, ever! Evening meal was divine and well organised - we were a big team. Staff were helpful and just lovely. But the icing on the cake was the room! Wow, just wow. Huge room with a bucket bath and hot showers, good coffee and luxurious extras. Work doesn’t feel quite as worky after an amazing sleep in a huge comfy bed with fluffy pillows, a fluffy white towelling robe and views over the estate with a nice coffee. Probably one of the best starts to an intensive day of meetings, ever! Thank you!

Wonderful hotel in a great countryside location. Really picturesque grounds and brilliant walks in and around the nearby area. Nice cream teas in pleasent historical surroundings. Would of loved to have stayed here that's for sure

We arrived for an afternoon tea that we were being treated to by a winning ticket in a grandchild’s school fete. From arrival the service and attention was first class. The selection of delicate sandwiches cakes and scones was delightful. I tried for the first time Darjeeling tea recommended without milk. It was excellent flavour whilst wife Mary had the Great Rift tea. We have been before, a couple of times, for a top notch meal as the surroundings and ambiance are quite special. Mention is required for Zoe who looked after us in a most congenial manner. We consider Tylney Hall a special place to go.

We have just returned from a romantic night away at this beautiful hotel. It was faultless! Everything about our time there was perfect, the staff are friendly and very attentive. Thank you to Damien who served us in the restaurant and was lovely! The grounds of the hotel are breathtaking, and so tranquil. The food fabulous. The hotel itself is spotless and felt like pure luxury. Prosecco by the outdoor pool felt so special. Thank you to Tylney Hall for such a wonderful experience. We cannot wait to come back!

Lovely looking hotel and grounds. I would describe it as faded grandeur ! Clean and functional rooms - pleasant bar and reception areas but in need of an upgrade . I wanted to leave early on Sunday morning to drive back to the Midlands but couldn't get a slot for breakfast until 9.45 ! When I arrived in the dining room it took 10 minutes get seated another 15 minutes to get a coffee - after a reminder to the staff. My breakfast which was scrambled eggs took another 25 minutes and two reminders and when it arrived it was stone cold ! I didn't complain as I just didn't want to wait around any longer . This ended by experience in such a way that I will never return to this hotel which is a shame but for £300 a night I expected better .

Just had an absolutely lovely meal at Tylney Hall. Food, atmosphere and wine list all superb but the real thing I want to praise was the staff. Without exception, every member of staff we interacted with was welcoming, professional and warm, and Damien was especially excellent. He was friendly, funny and a perfect representative for the venue (with beautiful wine pouring skills). I never fault staff when they're busy - working in a restaurant is a fast paced job - but every single staff member here made us feel at ease. The entire meal was unhurried and beautifully presented, and staff were very knowledgeable. We went for a special occasion and it really was.We arrived early so we could tour the grounds first and I would recommend doing this: unfortunately we didn't quite manage to see as much as we might have wanted before our reservation but we'll know to allow more time next time.

My husband and I were bought an overnight stay with 3 course meal and breakfast. Hotel is beautiful, staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a couple of treatments in the 'spa. Spa is very small and dated, consists of indoor pool, outdoor pool, saunas in the changing rooms and 2 treatment rooms in a different part of the building. Rooms are in keeping with the building, they have everything you need and are very clean. There is no air conditioning in any of the buildings or rooms due to the age of the building. It can be extremely warm; they do provide fans in the bedrooms. Food was excellent and both dinner and breakfast, fantastic selection and service. A massive disappointment for our stay was the service charging. We were of course happy to pay service charges for service, however we were charged a service fee for the spa despite paying £90 per massage (pool and sauna usage is included in the room rate). Also, when going to the bar to buy a drink, we were charged 10% for the privilege. If drinks were served to a table or room, I completely understand the service charge, but when you pay at the bar, I do not feel this to be acceptable. Whilst the staff and hotel were great, I found the service charging situation to be a bit 'grabby' and unnecessary. I would not recommend Tylney Hall to my friends and family based on this alone.

My husband and I spent a couple of nights at Tylney over the past weekend. Unfortunately, in the email exchanges with front office and reservations team ahead of my arrival, I wasn't made aware that there are usually no black cabs at Hook Station not Uber works in that location. Partially my fault as I didn't ask the specific question. Upon arrival at Hook Station, the e were no taxis available before 60 minutes so I called Tylney to explain the situation and spoke to FO who called several taxi services and then informed me that nothing was available. Afterwards, Mr Fabio, Head of Concierge, called me back and has been so kind and proactive to arrange transport for me, coming personally to pick us up at the station. Still so grateful for him being able to think a bit outside of the "procedures". During our stay we enjoyed the quietness of the Manor, its beautiful grounds and gardens. The interior was wonderful and every detail was so aesthetically pleasing. It felt like jumping back in time. We had dinner twice at the Oak Room restaurant and enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea in the lounge. Something we have been very disappointed with was the restaurant service. Quite unprepared and not up to the standards expected. A few examples are that we had to chase several times for having water at the table and that we ordered three mains (1 risotto and a chateaubriand to share) which arrived at the same time, and clearly, being 2 people, you have to leave something aside that will inevitably be eaten cold. I had to ask, twice, for a plate to cover our risotto as we decided to start from the meat, as that, is something that cannot really eat when it gets cold. The afternoon tea on Saturday was absolutely lovely, the sandwiches and sweets selection was tasty and the scones were really fresh. Again we had to ask several times for water at the table (I am pregnant and flagged that I was feeling a bit unwell and needed to drink). When the kind waiter arrived to take the order he mentioned he noted the few notes left under my reservation. I asked him to confirm what notes he had just to avoid any disappointment and he had a "no meat and fish" note. I had to explain that it should be removed as I was pregnant and couldn't eat those things, but my husband could so there was no need for a fully vegetarian meal. This is again something I had to rectify, although I sent very clear email ahead of our arrival to explain my dietary requirements and how those because of my pregnancy, would apply ONLY to me. Anyway...it turned out to be all good in the end. We also had two SPA treatments. My husband was really pleased with his. It started on time and finished even 5 minutes later. Mine, unfortunately, started 10 minutes later and finished 10 minutes earlier, leaving me a bit disappointed as, that was supposed to be a 90 minutes massages. I avoided flagging that as it would not be beneficial to my stress levels getting into s potential argument over 15 minutes...although, not great to experience. During the stay Mr Fabio, asked us if we wanted to get shown around, explained us the history of the Manor and the gardens and ensured we would be well looked after all the time. He made himself available for any need and ensured that we had a cab booked for our return on a Sunday. Overall, his kindness and real helpfulness is what made the service matching our expectations. Proactive, kind, humble and able to think ahead of what our needs could, he really stood out to us compared to everyone else who merely did their little bit and often needed to be a bit spoon-fed. We hope to have another opportunity to come back to Tylney for another relaxing weekend, but definitely will make sure ahead of time that Mr Fabio is around, as he is the real value add of that place.

Beautiful building and lovely room in the main house. Bed far to small though for us and in such a large room it seems a shame as it let's it down. Outdoor pool was nice and warm but way to many flies.
