Went here for a works breakfast. It was my first visit, and I was not aware that it was a self-service all you can eat buffet breakfast. To be fair it is not the normal place I would go, being an ex-serviceman, I have done my fair share of standing in a line waiting to be fed. But as it happens there was hardly a queue at all and the food was particularly good for the price paid. There were the standard things that you always see on buffet type meals, the eggs had a nice rubbery texter to them and had been there a little while and the mushrooms had run out, but apart from that the sausages were of a decent quality, all the other things that you expect were there and you can go round as many times as you like. I certainly was not hungry when had finished and for the price you really cannot complain. The staff were outstanding and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. That really makes a place I think and on the strength of that alone I would be very happy to return.

On Saturday we went on the trip to Bournemouth that Tracy and Ian arranged. We started with a delicious hearty breakfast followed by a coach to Bournemouth where we enjoyed shopping ice skating and the amazing lights. We then returned to the pub for a delicious three course festive meal, every thing was cooked beautifully and the Staff delivered it so professionally, this was all followed by an amazing tribute Elton John who again was so brilliant. Amazingly during all this Tracy and Ian arranged a raffle to raise money for wave105s cash for kids which everyone gave generously too and raised a massive £400 for those children so no child goes without a present from Santa this Christmas. We would like to give a huge shout out to Tracy Ian Vicky Heather Chloe and the rest of the brilliant team for making sure everyone enjoyed a fantastic day Thank you guys

We went on a trip to Bournemouth, organised by Tracy & lan from the Inn by the Sea. Our breakfast was lovely, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. It was evident to us that our hosts had thought carefully about the seating plan - we were sat with people we knew, which we greatly appreciated. The breakfast was a great start to the day! Arrangements for boarding the coach were also well considered, with those requiring additional support boarding first and sitting where they felt most comfortable. There was a charity raffle on board the coach, which was called when we returned to the lnn by the Sea later. I believe it raised £430 for needy children in our local community - an amazing amount. We had a lovely day in Bournemouth. On our return we were warmly welcomed by the staff and attended to promptly. The three-course Christmas meal was piping hot and delicious. We had pre-ordered before the trip. After dinner we were entertained by an Elton John tribute act. He was excellent and succeeded in getting everyone to sing along and/or have a dance! There was a real party atmosphere. Take a bow Tracy & Ian! Thanks for organising such a brilliant day.

We went on one of the organised coach trips to Bournemouth Xmas market we had a cooked breakfast and then on to Bournemouth. We returned back to the inn by the sea to a 3 course Xmas meal and an Elton John impersonator. Thankyou to the landlord and landlady for such a great day. Big shout out to the staff who always bend over backwards to help the patrons.

We booked for the 3 course festive menu at lunchtime, 2 of us opting for the carvery and 2 for the festive pizza. The mushroom starters were excellent and the portions extremely generous. There was an excellent choice of meats for the carvery but unlike our previous visit when everything was piping hot this time everything was a bit lukewarm and the cauliflower cheese was undercooked. The pizzas were huge and very tasty. The sticky toffee puddings for dessert were tasty but again could have been a bit warmer. The staff were very attentive and the service excellent. All in all very good value for money at less than £15 per head for 3 courses.

Went in for breakfast with our dog. It was such a great experience. We were looked after by Chloe and Heather. They were very informative about what to do as visiting the area. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Should've known it wouldnt be great when at 3.30pm i was able to book a Sunday carvery for the same day.... On getting to our table, the floor was full of food and the table was sticky. We quickly ordered our carveries (carverys?) And was told that someone would come and get us when it was ready (which ive never known to happen at a carvery before) although the carvery deck queue was empty, so not sure of the reasoning. The restaurant was awash with tables of hungry looking people waiting to be told it was their turn. After enquiring about the length of wait, we did go to the carvery. The service at the deck was friendly and the meat looked great with good portions. The Yorkshire puddings were definitely of the frozen variety and not homemade. The veggies must have also been frozen and looked boiled to death. Gravy was watery, and i knew this before i got to it because kids made jokes about it...getting back to my sticky table, I ate my meal, but apart from the meat, it was tasteless, unless you count the salty potatoes. We hoped that dessert would be better, but could only sample the ice cream or brownie because they seemed to be out of everything else. I went to the toilet before leaving and discovered that the sticky table was not a one off...for some reason every surface I touched in the building had the same weird sticky residue. All the doorways/ support rails and chairs too. Extremely disappointed and wont be back. In all honesty, the only saving grace for the whole place is the lovely kid-friendly garden... and two members of staff who's names I didn't get.
