Lovely pub with a good atmosphere and nice food. We had the pies which were large and very delicious with plenty of filling. The staff were helpful and able to adjust a dish on the menu for us and had a good understanding of gluten free for my wife who had the hunters chicken (also very tasty). Pub has an online menu system that allows you to exclude what you cannot eat from the menu for allergies. Also has free Wi-Fi to help you access the internet as phone signal is patchy within the pub.

Just here for drinks and a bit of reconnaissance. Will be back as the food looked great and good value. Lovely, cosy traditional pub/restaurant serving Ringwood ales and all the usual beverages.

We came for New Years Eve whilst visiting Lymington for a few days. The food was lovely and we particularly liked the timings. We weren’t rushed through the courses which was very relaxing. Amazing wine list - loved the St Clair. Libby our waitress was excellent polite and engaged without being overly so.

I made an online table reservation for my partner's birthday. When we arrived I discovered it had been 'declined' with no reason provided a few minutes before the booking start. On the plus side after looking more closely at the menu it looks like we actually dodged a bullet. But if you're looking for an establishment where you can make a booking in advance and expect it to be honoured I'd recommend looking elsewhere

We managed to get a parking space right outside the pub on the High Street which is free after 6pm, and was a great start to an excellent evening. Debs gave us a warm welcome and great service. The menu had a good variety of dishes especially the vegetarian choices. I chose the vegetarian pie which was delicious, the pastry was light and crisp with lots of filling and the vegetables were cooked to perfection with the best creamed potatoes I've ever had. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian curry. A great choice of wine by the glass, draught beers and spirits. We all had a really enjoyable evening.

I don't usually write reviews, but we thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas Day Dinner here and thought give praise where praise is due. The place was decorated tastefully and the staff were all dressed in festive outfits, it made us feel right at home. The food portions were great and extremely tasty, I skipped the salted caramel fudge, everyone in our party commented on the quality of food and the faultless service. The manager, Jamie was such a convivial host, pity others in the area don't have the same skill set. Would happily recommend and would happily return.

Cosy Friday night dinner on our first evening in Lymington, it’s a welcoming, friendly place with a terrific team and ace beers! We had the superb fish and chips: not sure how the trawler got them up! The staff are so great: couldn’t do enough to make the evening so memorable. Thank you!

What a cute place! Conveniently located in the town center with very good dining service. Note that check-in doesn’t open until 2pm. The breakfast option is worth it (delicious and ample). I found both my rooms to be comfortable, clean, and quiet…with the exception of a few randy pigeons. I was able to walk everywhere. My fellow Americans: bring your own wash cloths, power adaptors, and don’t grumble about the stair climb to your room (it’s a historic building). My fellow gay men: Support this place, it’s at least partially LGBT run and staffed.

Staying in Lymington for the winter and this was our first visit to the local shops - it was Saturday and the entire length of High Street becomes an incredible street market and is highly recommended on the merit of that alone. As we have begun using a local butcher whose shop is just behind this pub and it was just in time for lunch we popped in and ordered a platter to share and both my wife and I were overwhelmed by the generous plate of perfectly prepared and delightfully varied appetisers. I can honestly say I have not had a better platter on this side of the English Channel (and very few that were comparable on the continent!

Welcome on entering and offered table but chose to wait for friends in bar. Very quiet on day of visit, not many staff around but those who were there worked hard to serve restaurant and bar requirements. Food was excellent and the portions were ample.

Such an amazing place - great food, great service. Two in particular stand out - our waiter Debi was delightful and very helpful and on Saturday night, the waiting staff and vocalist came over and sang me happy birthday. Thank you.Would love to book again for a night's stay as well.

Dined here a few weeks back for the first time. I will definitely return. I could not fault anything. Especially loved the prawn cocktail starter. The lady that waited on us was soooo very nice & friendly. Her name is Debs.
