Visited today for pre-birthday lunch with daughter, son in law, grandson and hubby. Sunday roasts were great, staff, although very busy, were all helpful too. The building is a beautiful place to eat, and to look out over to the IOW. Will definitely return again in the future.

Boxing day booking. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was all brought out in good time, was hot and tasty. A really good meal, under no pressure to rush us out. The restaurant is a mix of old and new styles as I have seen elsewhere at other Hall and Woodhouse pubs, and os cosy and informal. Will be back.

Shared a larder platter, with some drinks and took in the spectacular views. Great ambience and food, worth the price.

We had a Christmas meal as a group. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was exceptional. A very enjoyable afternoon.

Lovely pub with nice garden and fantastic location next to the beach. Service can be a little slow but otherwise well worth a visit.Food & drinks: Guinness was good.

We came here for lunch during a Thursday in half term. Lovely place. We were welcomed by staff and given a table immediately even though we arrived early. The children were given great little goodie bags to keep them busy. Some of the food was excellent (crispy, homemade scotch eggs highly recommended) but the main courses mixed (burgers for the children and steak sandwich were ok; halloumi wrap wasn’t). The real issue was timing. We arrived at 12:30 and by 2pm we still didn’t have our main courses. The starters took 45-50 mins to arrive - even things like olives weren’t bought to the table until then. It was too long for the children to wait.

The beach house (formerly known as Westover Hall) is a glorious building with lots of history and quirks. The rooms are lovely, with some good sea views available in some of them. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food and drinks available are great. And the location is fabulous too - especially if you want to have a swim in the sea or a windy walk along the coast. We will be back.Rooms: They have dog friendly rooms, so you can bring your dogs to stay - I would call and book directly with the hotel (that's what I did as I couldn't figure out how to book a dog friendly room directly on their website).

One of my favourite places to visit. It has a lovely beach walk of around 20 minutes to a couple of hours depending on what you want. Has customer parking but does get busy Sundays. Very friendly staff. Shout out to Stuart who is funny and accommodating and made our stay more enjoyable.Rooms: Lovely room with sea view. Comfy and sufficient for our needs. Complimentary water and tea and coffee in the room. Lovely dark wood stair case and a fabulous Sun room at the top.Nearby activities: A stones throw away from the beach and Lymington port. One of my favourite places to relax and rewind.Food & drinks: We had a lovely soya coffee and their vegan cheese cake. We have had Sunday lunch there before which was nice but look out for their resident cat Lancelot whose very friendly.

This is a gem of an Arts and Crafts building. Apparently the summer home of a wealthy family - how I'd like to go back in time and see it then. I had a glass of cider in the garden with my three dogs and took a quick walk through the small grounds to the seafront. The menu looked good - might eat here next time.Noteworthy details: The architectural features. What a fabulous house it must have been - and now a really characterful pub.

We have been to this pub/ Restaurant in the pass and always enjoyed the experience. This time the sevice was not what we expected very close to rude and not a warm welcome. The food was well below average and verydisappointing. Will probably not return when next in area, it a shame.

Had a very decent Sunday Roast on this occassion (as is normally the case!). Opted for chicken. Literally get served half a chicken, so no going hungry! Keep up the good work!

My Mum and I recently stayed at The Beach House for the 2nd time and we had an enjoyable stay. We checked in after a rather rubbish week in Cornwall and we were feeling a bit fed up. Matt and Stuart changed all of this! Matt and Stuart are the best hosts; they are funny, attentive and made us laugh :) Thank you! In our opinion this hotel wouldn't be the same without Matt and Stuart. In general, the hotel is good however it could benefit from having better quality sausages and bacon and having a variety of pillows could help as they were uncomfortable. We stayed in the Lancelot room (named after Lancelot the cat) who has lived there for 20 years and he is the icon of the hotel. He greets you at breakfast and dinner and he is friendly, affectionate and laid back! If you have your own animals, being at this hotel makes it feel like home from home with Lancelot the cat! The Lancelot Family room is LOVELY! Both rooms are decorated beautifully and the master has a beautiful sea view. We love this room!

An amazing characterful hotel full of Victorian splendour and atmosphere! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Super styled large room with DAB radio playing in the background. Top notch tea and coffee, large bathroom with fantastic shower, all spotlessly clean. Great bar area and superb dinner, followed by excellent breakfast the next morning. Walks out the back straight to the sea front and beach. Sadly got torn away and had to check out otherwise would have stayed another night. Can’t recommend this Inn highly enough!
