Cosy pub of the old school. Outstanding food which is more London than this 'ere 'ampshire, look you. Beer local and superb. Young, friendly guys and girls behind the bar. Lovely place you won't forget. Not cheap, but if you pay peanuts..that's all you'll get.

Very very expensive for a pub. We had the beefburger, which was very nice, but spoilt with garlic fries!! Inedible!! Only 2 other people eating and they also complained about fries. No atmosphere. Used to be heaving years ago, but now, not good. Won't be going back. Such a shame. Also £9.10 for a glass of red wine? Burger £19.50? These prices are restaraunt prices and more expensive than alot nicer restaurants in the area. Don't mind paying for good food and service, but disappointed in the Gun.

This is the best pub in the world. And I’ve eaten/drunk in most of them.

We came across this lovely little pub while out walking at Lymington Nature Reserve. We only had a drink, but the staff were very friendly & the food looked lovely. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful roast lunch. In fact the best I’ve ever had in a pub. The Manager spoke to us and was very lovely too, as were the staff. We did not wait long at all for the food, which was great with a toddler in toe. Very calm environment.

Pretentious small menu, some peoples food was fine, mine was salty, veg were burnt, the place was very noisy, and you had to pay £5 for 3 hours parking. Belong to a Sunday Lunch Club and we were Not impressed. But I have to say the service was good.
