This restaurant ruined my Wedding Anniversary Gourmet Dining Experience and cannot be recommended.I booked our 3 course meal and wine using £90 of Buyagift vouchers, which seemed a reasonable deal. I reserved our table 10 days ahead of time. The hotel confirmed our reservation and told us that they had successfully redeemed the voucher.When we turned up, we were disappointed by the ambience which was more school canteen rather than cozy restaurant.When we tried to order our meal, we were told that our £90 vouchers entitled us to a £60.52 credit towards the total cost of our meal. I spent a fruitless 30 minutes trying to explain to the server that they had an error on their system but they had no interest in rescuing our Gourmet Meal. We then walked out and went to The White Rabbit across the road, where we had a lovely reception.When I phoned up the following morning to complain, the reservation team was equally useless.Avoid!

Had coffee here whilst waiting for our family to arrive at the hotel. We sat on the terrace. Helpful and friendly staff were at reception and the lady serving drinks was also extra friendly. They treated other guests with care and even giving water and treats to a nearby couples dog. Inside of the hotel looked nice and the toilets were clean and smelled nice. I did not stay here for long but would like to come back and perhaps try the restaurant next time. Sad to see some of the negative comments but will see for myself soon!
