Renoufs Cheese and Wine Bar
23 High St, LyndhurstWe had a Thursday night date night here. Excellent range of food and wines. I chose the platinum white wine flight and we shared the ultimate sharing platter for 2. We couldn’t make our minds what to choose for food, so we asked the waiter to surprise us. He asked a few questions and made some great choices for us. Plenty of food and lovely presentation. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We will return.

INDIAN FUSION LYNDHURST
72 High St, LyndhurstGreat food. Amazing choice and fantastic value for money. Went here on Saturday and had one of the best Indian/fusion meals I’ve ever had. Had a veggie option which was just as good as the meat option. Would highly recommend but you’ll need to book as it gets busy. Best curry house In the area.

Dolce Vita Italian Restaurant
2 Romsey Rd, LyndhurstCame for an evening meal for my birthday with couple of friends. Front of house waiter greeted us pleasantly & gave us a choice of 2 different tables. He chatted to us gave us the menus & left us while we got settled. When he came to take our order he also checked who had the shellfish allergy. I was impressed with this as I'd mentioned that as a comment when I booked online. I ordered Penne Salmone which was really tasty & piping hot. The other mains were also good. We all had tirimasu for dessert & as it was my birthday he popped a candle in mine & sang 'happy birthday'. We finished with coffees. Hubby & I had Amaretto coffees which were excellent. Lovely atmosphere, excellent food & service - definitely recommend x

Anissa's Thai Kitchen
74 High St, LyndhurstWe absolutely adore Anissa's Thai - having spent many months in Thailand over the years this is hands down the best Thai food outside of Thailand. As a fellow New Forest Marque member too - really great that they use local, top quality ingredients too. This is a regular haunt for us, so tasty, incredibly friendly and good value. Thank you!

The Oak Inn, Lyndhurst
Pinkney Ln, Bank, LyndhurstI’ll be honest I’ve never been here, but I feel like it would be a great place to celebrate an unbirthday. I hope to make it there some day!Edit to add it seems from another review that they allow cocker spaniels & I just happen to have 2. Being kind to a cocker spaniel makes you a wonderful establishment, now I don’t have to visit to know that you are. Although I’d still love to visit.

Imperial China
18 High St, LyndhurstMe and my partner often go here when we get an evening from our children. The food is always spot on! Table service is excellent. It's on the pricier side of Chinese restaurants in the New Forest but with Imperial China you get what you pay for, proper table service, tasty food that is plentiful.I would recommend to anyone that loves a Chinese who hasn't had the experience before of Imperial China's value through quality service and quality food ?Parking: Parking is easy to find and only a 2 minute walk away

White Rabbit
Romsey Rd, LyndhurstHaving been a guest at the White Rabbit for some months it truly feels like a home away from home. Carl and his team, Bunny, Muriel, Dan, Hollie, Katherine, Ellie and Jay have always gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome, despite being part of the furniture. The experience is further enhanced by the fantastic food Head Chef Damo and his team, Tom and Lauren provide. Happily catering to allergy requirements and often popping out from back of house to say hello, which is a nice touch. Although I’ve never met them personally, housekeepers Ella and Pru always make up the rooms to a high standard which is very reassuring. I literally love this place and will be very sad when my time here comes to an end. I think it’s a real gem and exceptional value for money. Definitely recommend.

The Crown Stirrup
12 Clay Hill, Clayhill, Lyndhurst5 of us , family, had booked to have a meal here on Friday night. We entered an empty pub, and told there was no beer and very limited menus as they had electrical problems. We decided to stay, ordering drinks that were available. We awaited the food with trepidation, but were happily surprised to receive 5 freshly prepared meals which we thoroughly enjoyed. Well done to the staff who must have been relieved we hadn't walked out. They were lovely and we hope they get back to normal very soon. We understand they are an independent pub with no back up from a brewery. I would go again in the sumer when they are sure they will be fully functional again.

The Forage
39 High St, LyndhurstGreat place to go for food or a drink. However we did feel a bit rushed, staff were a bit too quick trying to take orders before we even had a chance to properly look at menu so made us feel quite rushed. It looked as though they do pizzas in a pizza oven and had takeaway boxes stacked up so hope to go back in summer with friends for takeaway pizza and sit in the forest.Dietary restrictions: Had a vegan veggie menu

Peggy May's Cafe
49 High St, LyndhurstWe come to this wonderful cafe everytime we visit the New Forest. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly and the owner, Mitat goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and to come and say hello. The All Day Breakfast is honestly the best we have ever had and we have eaten many over the years. The cafe has recently been refurbished and looks lovely. Highly recommend Peggy May's Lyndhurst.

The Greenwood Tree
65 High St, LyndhurstFinding myself in Lyndhurst for work break i trotted over to the Greenwood Tree for a scone and tea .....BUT after reviewing the special board i settled on the roast potatos with maple bacon, feta and a poached egg on top. I was not disapointed ... the small chunks of spud were cooked crispy just as i like them and the poached egg was cooked to perfection, the portion size was excellant not too big and not a tiny amount on a large plate .... loved the addition of the china cups for the tea. Def worth a visit if you are in the area carpark just over the road too so easy to park and walk here. Busy popular place by the looks of it and add to that the staff are lovelyParking: Over the road public carparkWheelchair accessibility: Wide enough as it has double doors inside and the tables are spread out so i cant see it being a problem

La Pergola Restaurant
Southampton Rd, LyndhurstWe had a lovely Valentine’s dinner and ordered a set menu. Really enjoyed the first and last course. The main course we had chicken and salmon which we found a little bit dry, however, all of the portions were big portions and worth the money. I loved the maple and pecan dessert, definitely a chef’s kiss! The service were fantastic as well, the staff were all nice, we had a gentleman (sorry we didn’t got his name) served us and he was very entertaining and we when said we were so full with our main course he gave us a bit of a time to give the desserts. We loved the ambience as well, I think it’s cozy and romantic. Definitely would go back!

Pikes Hill, Pikeshill, LyndhurstStayed in the forest lodge Hotel next door? And decided to have dinner at the Wellington arms. Whole plaice was on the menu so 3 of our party ordered. Well, it was a revelation, stonking fresh & perfectly cooked, a great experience, one of the nicest fish meals in a long time. I called for the Chef and congratulated him, it was that good. Well done Wellington arms.

The Royal Oak
The Royal Oak, Fritham, LyndhurstMy family and I arrived at the Royal Oak today after a long cycle ride desperate to refuel only to find it was shut (the pub closes on a Monday and Tuesday). A member of staff was just leaving when they noticed us and when we explained, they were only too happy to help us and provide a drink and snack. This was an incredibly kind gesture and can only make me think what a warm and friendly atmosphere the pub has when it's open. I can't wait to go back and enjoy spending longer there next time. This small act of kindness the staff showed us means I will always remember the pub and it will be the first place I frequent next time I'm back in the New Forest.
