We have used Ashley's for years, driving the 30 odd miles from Southampton because the fish n chips were the best.we enjoyed a day out every couple of weeks.Don't know what happened since lock down but now the chips are greasy with oil that tastes as though a change is long overdue .The whole place seems in need of a spring clean and even the staff are not as smart as the older lady and gentleman that cooked and served previously. The last 3 times were very poor, so sadly we will not be returning.

Great food and great value- still the best F&C I have eaten anywhere! And our guests for Christmas agree - they all wanted to eat from Ashley’s for our Christmas Eve meal!

Fish & Chips cooked to a good standardParking: 2 spaces to park outside the shop and a car park on the opposite side of the road with a free 20 minute time with cameras.

Dreadful fish & chip shop. Terribly Overpriced. Cod had a large bone in the centre, followed by a few smaller ones which ruined my meal, soggy fat drenched stupidly small chips, and the pea fritters had a ridiculously thin batter coating that wasn’t even crispy. Will definitely not return and go up the road to another chippy. The owner clearly doesn’t care about quality & reputation, but only making money. Wasted £270 out of ten

One pineapple fritter for £1.80 was a shock! My local chippie closer to London sells a portion of 4 for £2.50! To be fair it was delicious though.

Not the cheapest chippy around but certainly one of the best. Fresh produce sustainably sourced and beautifully cooked to perfection. Only downside is the queue is sometimes rather long. Worth the wait I can assure you.

Very nice fish and chips, 2 minute drive for cost. Definitely
Fine but nothing special, better fish and chip shops in the area.

This remains a terrific fish and chip shop for take aways. There is a bench under an oak tree opposite where it is lovely to eat the food, weather permitting, of course. I thoroughly recommend the food here.
