I feel disappointed to see mixed reviews about this place - My grandparent's have been coming here for years and you can tell this Chinese, is a piece of New Milton history. Order the sweet & sour chicken and chips and you will NOT be disappointed. (Can always swap it out with a thick curry sauce) I've never seen breaded chicken like this elsewhere, the portions are huge and price is fair. You can even have a beer whilst you wait... Don't believe everything you see on the internet.

Worst Chinese ever! Tasteless dry food. Chicken chowmein tasted like it was cooked in a car tyre. Shredded duck was dry and burnt, the bottom half of the container was filled with prawn crackers obviously to make it look full.

Worst food I have ever tasted ......dirty and filthy and very expensive indeed .....place needs a visit from the health inspectors as no food hygiene and chicken pieces that looked like cat food ....went straight in the bin please avoid this place !!!!! If there was a -5 Star I would have clicked on it !!!!

Decor is a bit old yes, but as a local the lotus is the best value Chinese in town! Always a warm welcome and excellent hot food at good prices for our area! Highly recommended
