Seafood Restaurants in New Milton

“Today we visited the store in New Milton and would like to comment that the service we received was absolutely 1st Class from the Manageress and her staff in the restaurant also the Men's wear department where I purchased a jacket.

“5 star food, 5 star location, 2-3 star restaurant service. Fantastic venue, food was excellent and a great choice of wine. Service was friendly but fairly incompetent. I think we had 3 waiters/waitress in total. The first one couldn't explain what the lamb dish was (I think she was very junior, and shouldn't have been left alone). A very friendly second waitress helped us with our choice. The wine waiter made quite a hash of opening a very nice (and expensive) bottle of wine - see photo. We had to ask for water, and again when it needed topping up. At the end we were left waiting for quite some time with no staff in sight anywhere.

Anyway the food was excellent - I had a very tasty lobster ravioli followed by a lamb dish with pastry. All very well presented and great tasting. Desserts were lovely too although one was spoiled by having clingfilm in it, though they dropped the charge from that.

Would definitely go back, the venue is beautiful, wonderfully decorated and a great view out to sea. Hope the staff are carefully nurtured to become fully competent, it would definitely take the place to 5 stars.”
