Absolutely excellent food and service. We have eaten many dishes over several years and we have always been delighted. Authentic food from friendly and professional staff.

The menu was extensive, offering a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes. From creamy butter chicken to aromatic biryanis, every dish was bursting with flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced, creating a harmonious symphony of taste in each bite. The presentation of the food was also top-notch.The staff at the restaurant were incredibly friendly and attentive. They were more than happy to recommend dishes and cater to any dietary preferences or restrictions. Their warm hospitality added to the overall wonderful dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and cozy, with beautiful decor that reflected the rich culture of India. It was the perfect setting for a memorable meal with friends or family.Overall, I would give this Indian restaurant a solid 5 stars! The delicious food, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delectable dishes! ??

Food was reasonable, the service was mediocre, the staff spent more time folding up tablecloths . No atmosphere whatsoever , background music, attentiveness etc. .Gone downhill I’m afraid. The table napkins were so flimsy and cheap! Poundland style! We visited as restauranteurs and will not be recommending anytime soon

Been here before and the food was great but went back in November and was hit with a very back smell of mould as we walked in. We sat in a booth as always but the table felt damp, my husband pulled back the table cloth to find the table covered in black mould we spoke to the waiter for him to reply with “that’s why there is a cloth on it” not great and such a shame

As ever, we ordred too much, but the variety n the menu was very tempting. No frills here, but none needed as we were hungry and enjoyed catching up in one of the chintzy booths. Staff could't do more for you, very helpful,

We’ve been coming here for the last 7 years and we still love it. You can’t beat a restaurant where they know your name, your usual drink and your favourite table! The food is always tasty and the staff friendly and chatty. The best Indian restaurant.
Lovely old school curry. We were visiting friends who live in the area and this is just as good a curry as we get back in London, not just catering for western palates! We all had different dishes and I had the recommended house special - which was a hot and sour curry. It was really delicious and different from the others we shared. Upon speaker to Sam the owner he brought the recipes over from Bangladesh and continues to do so. The decor inside is incredible - none of this bland generic line of tables but a row of curtained booths. Park on the street or just behind the restaurant are spaces for about 5 cars. Finally the staff are so lovely- really polite and helpful. Great place.

We went to The Raj to celebrate our wedding anniversary & were not disappointed. The service was very good & the food was excellent. They have an extensive menu so your sure to find something you want. The staff are knowledgeable & very willing to offer advice & guidance. The venue is comfortable although the decor perhaps is a bit dated. The prices are reasonable & the portions are ample. The only downside is the parking can be difficult - the adjacent carpark is limited to 20 minutes.

Best Indian I've had in quite a while. Good value for money. Poppadoms and sauces were amazing.

Having moved to area from London/Bucks, we haven’t been able to find a decent curry. Thank god we found this place. If you want a traditional authentic curry, then this is the place. Great food, great service and reasonably priced. We got to meet the owner Sam and had a nice chat about his history in the business. He has been a chef for over 40 years, and is so passionate about what he does. The restaurant itself is like going for a Ruby in the 80’s, with cubicles of tables with curtains. Really captures the experience. Well done Sam, keep up the great work and Thanks… Ian + 3.
