We came here for lunch after a long hike. Lovely staff they were so helpful and the menu has a huge variety of GF food. Freshly baked steak pie and pork crisps were delicious. The duck was fabulous highly recommended!! Bite size dessert platter was so good pistascio macaroon is my fav. Would definitely come back!

We stayed at The Nest for one night so that we could do the local Queen Elizabeth Parkrun. Our room was very nice, we had a superb meal and the hospitality was first class. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us coming back late from Parkrun (which is only a six minute drive way) and we had an excellent breakfast. We'd love to go back when we walk the South Downs Way.

Great Food, Fab Service and a cosy, family feel atmosphere. A lovely place and the menu has good gluten free choices. Duo roast was a winner with good portions and decent prices.. Ate as part of a party of 11, celebrating 2 birthdays.. nice touch with the desserts.. We will definitely return ?

This is a lovely location to meet on a dark evening. A warm welcome and relaxed but professional service. Great care is taken of the important things; like cleanliness, lighting in the car park, tables spotless, and even the wood burner is operated correctly. The result; great beer food, and atmosphere.

The food here was excellent. I had a special of vegetable tikka masala with papadum. The staff was so accommodating and kind. The Peacock room was super comfortable and well equipped. The bathtub was nice after a long day on my feet. Of note: This room is suitable for couples who don't mind bathing in front of each other. Beautiful decor too!

My parents stayed here for 2 nights and loved their room, the staff and would happily stay here again.me and my family joined them for tea here. The food was gorgeous.I had pie, mash and vegetables and it was such generous portions I was able to share my meal with my 7 month old son and still feel full. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a wide choice of food and drinks available.Safety: Be careful on the roads coming up to the establishment as some are single track and have some dangerous pot holes

Ive wanted to try this restaurant for a while and it was amazing! The restaurant was lovely, modern with a country feel. The food was amazing, we had the pie and there was plenty of it. Service was great too! Definitely recommend! Coming back for Quiz night!

Literally my favourite restaurant AND hotel. I’ve stayed in four of the different bird themed rooms now (Barn Owl, Eagle, Peacock and Buzzard) and each one has been even more flawless than the last. I adore the claw foot baths in some of their larger rooms, and the attention to detail in each room is second to none. Always super clean and tidy. Their bathrooms are stocked with the nicest smelling goodies too! Everyone who works there is friendly, chatty and just all round bloody lush. I work as an influencer and rooms are not only comfy and cozy but also HIGHLY Instagrammable (if that’s what you’re booking for!) Location wise there’s loads of gorgeous walks around, the scenery is gorgeous. It’s also not loud at all despite the busy downstairs, no matter which room you’re in. Food wise? It’s amazing. A plethora of gluten free options, the food is always quick out, hot and absolutely delicious. I’m proudly making my way through the menu and I’m yet to find something I dislike. The specials are always on point too! To summarise, this is the place you need to visit when you’re in Buriton. Wouldn’t catch me anywhere else. 10/10.

We stayed for one night at The Nest whilst walking on the South Downs Way. It was a delightful experience in every respect. We received the warmest of welcomes from Emily, had a lovely room and ate an absolutely delicious meal with impeccable service. The Bird family are wonderful hosts and have done a brilliant job of making The Nest a cosy, stylish and welcoming place to stay. We unreservedly recommend The Nest to all visitors.

I booked this hotel so we could attend a friends wedding. As this would be the first time we had childcare for our toddlers, I booked a deluxe room. I booked this room on Sunday 10th Sept. Our eldest toddler then got chicken Pox on Wednesday 13th Sept, I rang immediately and asked if we could rebook the room for another date. They refused and not only did they say we’d lose the full booking fee, they insisted that if I wasn’t going to attend then I would have to cancel via booking.com (who I booked with), I can only assume this is so they can then put the room back out on sale. I asked if we could rebook, even in the future on a quiet night like midweek or a Sunday. They refused. They didn’t respond to my messages either.

We were recommended this place for dinner. It was a shame as the menu limited and to be honest overpriced pub food wanting £26 for rump steak. Nothing special, warm wine and the managers were extremely rude. No smile or apology. Would never go back there

We stayed at the Nest late August 2023 The hotel is very nicely located (short walking distance to the South Downs way), rooms are comfortable (amenities & bedding) and decorated with care. It felt like everything had been recently refurbished and we were warmly welcomed. Very cosy and charming place to stay & dine after a long day hiking. I strongly recommend the stop!
