My partner and some family went there for brunch in November 2023 and he had the cockles and got severe food poisoning… he was incredibly sick the rest of the day and has progressively got worse over the months that followed. It’s currently the end of March 2024 and he is in and out of hospital every week, on 16 tablets a day, lost 3 stone in weight, can barely eat and drink, signed off work, and is really struggling. The hospital has confirmed it is severe food poisoning and his body is struggling to fight it off based on how bad it is. We are hoping he gets better soon, but we will never go back to this place.

Right on seafront. Nice atmosphere with roaming sax player on a Sunday. No fish special that day, but the selection we ordered was excellently executed. This kitchen knows what it’s doing. Gluten Free options and knowledgable staff. Good beverages, very comfortable, clean and modern interior. Food descriptions on images. Really good visit, would mark as a favourite when back in area.

Lovely restaurant, great menu and drinks selection. The service is good. The interiors are beautiful. We didn’t realise the seafront was closed so we had to sit on the decking out the back by the main road which was a bit of a shame but still a nice experience.

Love this place. Came in November for my son's birthday and couldn't wait to return next time we were in the area. It didn't disappoint! Lovely, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Food is beautifully presented and tastes amazing!

A must go if you are in the area. Fresh and great quality local ingredients.

Ran in as it was pouring with rain! Just had coffee, which was delicious and hot. Staff very nice. Was a busy place and the menu looked good.

All style, more substance required.

I have been here multiple times and never had a bad experience, across breakfast lunch and dinner. The normal menu is great, and the specials are always good to look out for, such as the all-you-can eat muscles Wednesday! Being right on the beachfront it has unobstructed views of the Solent whilst in the winter you can get nice and cosy out of the wind and rain, either way a fantastic atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and importantly knowledgable of the menu.Parking: Depending on time and season the parking is free.

One of our favourite restaurants in Hampshire! Just be aware that the view across to the Isle of Wight is currently partially obscured by hoarding which protects the work going on along the promenade (March 2024)

They advertised a vegetarian choice! Pie no bigger than a tiny porkpie and costs £10! Salad tastes of fish as does the croutons. Yes, it may be a seafood place, but they did advertise vegetarian choice. Never going back again. Very disappointed.Vegetarian options: Don't bother!

Went for Saturday late lunch with a friend. Both had crab soup with crab rarebit which was nice and our mains were splendid! Very tasty, fresh and perfect portion size. We had skate wing with caper, chilli and olive butter, monkfish tail with sides of champ mash and skin on fries. Great, attentive service with friendly staff. Lounge vibe with relaxing but classy decor and comfy seating. It was quite noisy for me to begin with, as I have mild hearing problems, but when the place thinned out a bit it was a perfect ambience. Lovely house white wine and interesting soft drinks selection. Nice coffee too. Will definitely be making this my go-to local seafood restaurant option. They did have some nice sounding meat and veggie options too though. It’s a shame about the boarding across the beach whilst works are being carried out on the beach, as the view would have been fab, hopefully it will be done by summer.Parking: Parking along the esplanade, right outside restaurant pay and display/via app, free disabled parking
