Service we nice but food was reheated but not very well. Pie was hot one side and then cold the other. Chicken burger was bland. Won’t be going back!!

Been here before and the food was amazing, the service has always been shocking as the server kept forgetting to bring drinks and not very efficient. Been back again today and they've changed menu which the food served was mediocre i had scampi with chips and mushy peas and it was all cold and my husband had the steak sandwich and this was cold and too much mayo slopped in there and not enough chips. The sons mac and cheese was cold and the brocalli too hard for him (would have cooked myself better food at home). This time the coffee machine wasn't working but as we were leaving there were people sitting with coffees - so the server neglected to tell me the machine was working again and could have asked if I still wanted one. We will not being coming back again. Absolutely awful. I really don't understand how hard it is for people to provide good service and good food. I don't want to come out to have food served to me that I could have cooked better at home. Real joke. Also the place was freezing cold so we had to keep our coats on while eating which isn't very comfortable.

Lovely meal with family today. We had the Sunday roast which was delicious. Service was very quick and staff very welcoming and friendly.

Went on a Monday evening for a drink.. It was very quiet other than a darts tournament in one corner of the pub. That might have been why there was no music or anything playing but it was lacking a bit of atmosphere. Nice venue though, and would definitely visit again in the summer.
Hopeless starting from when we paid the carpark expecting to get the fee refunded in the pub, as the car park said ‘you WILL be refunded up to £5’ if using the pub. But inside pub landlord said fee only refunded with food. So ok we were going to order food, but said no food today as Chef was unloading a lorry. So we ordered tea and coffee. Tea luke warm and had to be replaced. Cups dirty and had to be replaced. Coffee just about ok. Staff disinterested. Other patrons having similar problems.

See the food can be excellent (when the Korean pork was on the menus it was incredible) but we weren’t made aware of missing items on the menu until we were ordering which kind of sucked :( the fish and chips were lovely but they had no steak, sausages or any specials(this was a few weeks ago and I understand low stock after Christmas but It would be great to tell customers as you were seating them not after they order)

We were told we could sit down, but he wouldnt serve usPopped in to see if there was a table, was told no as we hadnt booked online, checked to see if theres time later and it said there wasWent back 45 mins later and the chap was very rudeTold us he was short staffed and that he told us that when we popped in 45 minutes earlierHe did not.Partner works in the industry and we wouldnt have bothered booking had we known they were short staffedHad we not tried to walk in earlier and had just booked online expecting a meal would he have refused our booking? We had driven over an hour to that area, thankfully not just to eat.The rudeness was completely unnecessary

Came here after a night in the new forest. Did fancy a roast dinner, but unfortunately due to supplier issues only roast dinner could be served for pre booked guests only. Which we were both good with. These things happen.Went for lasagne and garlic bread which was delicious and warm. For dessert apple tart, did find the tart bit a bit too soft, but other than that it was delicious and warming in this cold weather we are having.Pub is dog friendly which I certainly enjoyed, love seeing dogs in pubs. Gave it a nice family atmosphere.Gareth was our server, he was kind and friendly throughout our meal. Next time we are in the new forest (Burley area) we will certainly come again.
