Visited on Sunday 7th January 2024 with my partner and our baby. Due to staff sickness it was bookings only but the team got us a table as we are regulars. All staff were very friendly as always and made our visit amazing. Food was absolutely delicious. Can never fault this place. Highly recommend!Parking: Lovely big free car park out the front, always spaces available

Had a very enjoyable lunch with my husband Thursday lunchtime. Staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive, food plentiful, served promptly and was excellent. We shall definitely return.

I'd have given The Vine 5 stars but sadly the service wasn't up to scratch. There was just one lady having to cope with the bar, taking food orders and serving the food. Had we not booked I think we'd have been turned away. That said, the atmosphere was still good, and the lady serving styled it out well and we had some good banter with her, but she clearly wasn't having an easy time of things. The food was good though, so will go back another time.

Eleven of us visited the Vine Inn, Ower, on Christmas Eve 09.30am for breakfast with Santa. I really don't have the words to say just how amazing Father Christmas was, (it may actually have been the big man himself). Every member of staff was professional, happy and a joy to interact with. We have visited the Mayflower to watch the panto on Christmas Eve afternoon every year for well over 30 years, this was the first time we had booked breakfast with Santa, it was so magical that if I had to choose which one of the two we would do next Christmas Eve it would be breakfast with Santa at The Vine Inn without a doubt. Will be booking it as soon as bookings open. Made Christmas Eve magical not only for the children but the adults as well, simply amazing, very many thanks.

Despite it being busy the staff were excellent. Lisa and Alex R behind the bar were quick and helpful throughout the whole night. The floor staff Wendy and Alex catered to all our needs and the food topped it off.Definitely recommend.

Firstly the front of house staff I saw were amazing, super friendly and good manners. We ordered two different burgers and chips. One had a good size portion the other was definitely lacking chips. The food tasted ok, the good sized meal was good value for money. We visited on 28th December around 7ish.

Ordered lasagne ( side of chips ) amd scampi Lasagne arrived first , Lasagne was cold in the center - stick your finger in it cold - chips were OK temperature Wife's Lasagne came a couple of minutes later - scampi was warm enough Lasagne was sent back - they left the chips - I ate the chips as they would have been cold before the Lasagne came back Wife had nearly finished her meal by time mine came back , the replacement look like it had spent 5 minutes in a blast furnace - was certainly hot but dried out round the edges Wasn't busy but they said there was a wait on food Won't bother again only eating as staying at Premier Inn next door

We decided to take the plunge and take the family out for Christmas lunch to the Vine. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The table was nicely set with all the festive decorations, crackers and everything else you would expect, very nice. The food arrived fresh, hot and plenty of it, in particular the seasonal roast was excellent. Overall, we had a great experience, the staff worked tirelessly to ensure that our expectations were met and they were.

Food was pre cooked, cold and tasteless. Potatoes in its jacket was still frozen, waffles were cold, chicken was dry, and overcooked. Generally awful. When I said the potato was cold the waitress was not amused. Shame as came here some years ago and it was

Dinner was not great. Food was cold. Pudding was good as they had to change mine. Long queues to order food. Short staffed but staff that are on did well. Place looks like it needs a refurb, its tired and tatty looking. Proably wont come back or recommend to

Lovely meal, nice atmosphere, was busy at time we arrived, took about 45 minutes from ordering to getting meal but this was for party 9, food all brought out together. Would recommend and a place we will go again.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu

Such a lovely pub to visit. Yummy food, a cheerful Christmassy atmosphere and great music. Chloe is exceptionally friendly, efficient and kind. She is always happy to help and she is the reason we visit The Vine so regularly. Thanks for a good pub experience every timeVegetarian options: The mix it up with the impossible nuggets is delicious

Took a chance based on the mixed reviews as we prefer the Hungry Horse menu to those at the new Old Farmhouse or Testwood. On the plus side, we ordered from the app and the drinks arrived promptly. Our mains were as ordered and hot. The two steaks were nicely cooked and as requested. Desserts were more of mixed bag arriving in two lots quite some time apart and one had to be returned as our request for no sauce was missed. The hot dessert was lukewarm and the 'cream' poor quality. The staff were very pleasant and polite, quickly sorting the minor errors so a pleasant experience overall. Dinner and dessert for 5 around £120 including sides and 2 rounds of drinks so good value
