We visited last Saturday lunchtime - and upon arrival found they have a great lunchtime deal. The food was lovely and well presented - and frankly I don't know how they can make money at the lunchtime deal rate. Brilliant value. We'll be going back again, definitely!

Hello, I am a huge fan of the Amalfi restaurant, the food is superb. The people are the restaurant are so lovely and make you feel welcomed. I loved eating there as the atmosphere was amazing and it was good to see the restaurant filled with life. I really recommend risotto funghi as it’s cooked as a traditional Italian dish should. I also recommend all the pizzas, they are made in the pizza oven and come out fabulous!! I also went during lunchtime and the lunchtime offer at the moment is one of a kind, such a good offer for what you get. Fabulous work and will be a regular customer.

Starters and desserts received were okay (had better elsewhere). I had a risotto for my main which was tasty but so hard and chalky it was hurting my teeth to eat it. I then complained to the waiter who told me it was "al dente" (I don't believe undercooked and al dente are the same) he told me that's how the chef cooks it and asked me after I sent it back if I wanted to take it home?? I paid for the dish in the end but this was a huge let down as everything else was okay.Update: My boyfriend was too shy to say his was undercooked after the response I got. He ate the seafood from the dish and left the rest. Clearly this place can't take constructive criticism... judging by the response I have received. I failed to mention before that our original waitress had to take the order twice and seemed very confused and then forgot my friends calamari starter..by this time we didn't bring it up as the portions were massive and we were sharing everything.Everyone else enjoyed their food. Other things looked nice. However the risotto (on both plates) was just disappointing.

I have eaten in many Italian places in my life and I know my Italian food this guys are using cheap products and pasta’s are not fresh all frozen boiled up and serviced to customers. It’s a shame we will not be returning for sure.

Lovely food first time for myself and my wife, with friends.staff are very welcoming top mark to the cheff, my fish was cooked spot on, there was a lot of it. Sometimes you don't know what to expect, but full marks followed by a lemon liqure to finish off perfect.

I felt very welcome from the first moment I stepped into this restaurant. It was fully booked, but we were served very quickly and all waiting staff was very attentive throughout our dining experience. I loved the atmosphere and seeing the restaurant owner prepare each pizza with her own hands. We had a Napoli and a Quattro Formaggi, followed by a panna cotta. Everything was delicious, including my cocktail (Cosmopolitan). We will be back for sure. Thank you for the lovely experience!

I’ve been with friends so many times and we have always had an excellent experience. The food is always delicious! We recently visited and had potentially the best service I’ve ever received in a restaurant, I didn’t catch the name of the waitress but she was young and had blonde hair. Nothing was too much effort and nothing was forgotten about, which has happened in the past here with others. She went above and beyond and really is an asset to the company. We were given the perfect amount of time to enjoy our food, without feeling rushed, which again was all delicious. I was gutted I didn’t have any cash on me because I would of left a tip - any chance you can add a option to the card machine? Can’t wait to visit again!

We had the Ravioli Con Burro, it was bland and a very small meal. I didn't count the Ravioli but there was about 8-10 for £15.95, it was very disappointing. Also had cheese as we were still hungry, it was also bland, a plain cheese cake with a drizzle favour. The staff were very nice.

Disappointing visit to support a local restaurant for a takeaway. Restaurant was not especially busy for a Thursday evening. Having lived in Hythe on/off for the last 30 years, this my 3rd experience in current hands - I will not be back. My hard earned £25…could have been spent best elsewhere. P.s. I would have preferred the effort to remove my comments on another platform had been spent on my £7 burnt starter
