Absolute treat. Stopped for lunch with my father in law on a whim as we were passing and what a place! Weather allowed for sitting outside on a balmy September Saturday, overlooing the marina with a nice, cold, tasty beer or two. The place was very busy on account of Southampton playing at home, but home and away fans were laughing, drinking and mingling together to create a wonderful atmosphere. Once they emptied out, there was still music playing, sport on the TV and a really relaxed vibe. Service was exceptional, a well-sized team never stopping catering for the needs of diners and drinkers. Service was swift and done with a smile - one young lass in particular just had the most gorgeous of smiles. The food was outstanding, absolutely top notch - hot, freshly cooked and full of flavour. I would quite happily have eaten my main and dessert again straight away. Cost reflected the quality and prices were in line with surrounding eateries. We stayed for a couple of hours and every moment of it was spot on. I will definitely head back next time I am down that way. Exceptional.

What a beautiful afternoon at Banana Wharf! The perfect weather, chilled beer, and a fantastic meal made it a memorable visit. We enjoyed a pint of Guinness and Peroni, which paired perfectly with the food. The Marina Max Meaty Pizza was packed with flavor, and the BFC Burger hit all the right notes. And let's not forget the fries – easily some of the best I’ve ever had. A special mention to the service team – they were so warm and kind, adding to the overall experience. Cheers to many more visits to this lovely place.

To summarise, very shoddy service and horrible food for the price. 5 mediocre wings for almost £12? A small burger with bad toppings and small portion of chips for £17.50??
We ordered our food and waited 1 hour and 40 mins and still no mains, I had enough and complained about the wait and they never even put our mains order through (we got starters after 20 mins but they forgot about our main).
They said sorry and offered me a free drink so I asked for just a coke and it never even came. They offered 10% off our bill, but instead ADDED 10% by mistake so if we hadn't noticed, we would've been charged more for this service.
Finally, one of us has a gluten allergy and so we explained this and only ordered her gluten free food, and yet at the end of the day, she had an incredibly upset stomach only caused by consuming gluten.
In the end, the food sucked and cost way more than a bunch of other restaurants that serve better food with better service. Shame as well because the atmosphere and location are amazing, very disappointed.

Ordered the fajita steak, my partner had the Arrabiata, and we shared some honey, sesame and lime wings. Firstly, the Fajita was honestly bland and horrendous! The presentation looks great, but even with the condiments, the flavour profile was all wrong! Firstly the steak tasted like cardboard! You get the smell of the paprika but no taste! No taste of salt of black pepper even!! Its a shame! The salsa tastes like it was just taken out from a ready made packet! Honestly tastes worse than Doritos Salsa dips. The wings weren't my favourite but my partner like them. The Arrabiata was good thank God as its would be disastrous! The star of the night though was the service! Ksenia was amazing! When I expressed my concerns, I was still prepared to pay for all my meal but she immediately made me feel heard and took the plate away, took it off the bill and offered me to order something else! Honestly very attentive as well she was and amazing service! They do also serve generous portions! Just need to pick it up with the flavours.
