Attentive staff and exquisitely presented food. I would come again just for the mouth watering duck and pancakes! (Tender meat and crispy skin)I had the lychee, strawberry and merengue dessert which surpassed expectations.

Really disappointed at the service, we were offered some dishes ‘on the house’ to try having already ordered what we wanted. We then didn’t get half of our order and were charged for the two dishes ‘on the house’ when questioned they removed one of the dishes from the bill on account we had eaten one, but not one mention for the items we had ordered.Left very disappointed

Three of us had dinner this evening at Blue Jasmine in Southampton Ocean Village.For our main courses we shared dishes placed in the middle of the table. My second helping of the Percik chicken had a long black hair entangled in a piece of meat.  It was embedded in the food and there is no chance that it could have belonged to one of us.  We all stopped eating at that point, two of us leaving food on our plates and with a significant amount of the prawn noodle dish left uneaten in the serving bowl as we had now lost our appetites.As the waitress came to clear the table I quietly mentioned to her about the hair. She immediately called the manager. He came, asked in which part of the meal I had found the hair then removed the offending plate and took it to the kitchen for inspection. He did not apologise and never returned with an explanation.When we were presented with the bill there was still no apology or even acknowledgement of the fact that this had happened. My husband paid the bill in its entirety as our guest suffers from anxiety and we did not wish to create any upset for her. As we left my husband stayed behind and told the manager that he was disappointed that he had never returned to the table having inspected the plate, didn’t apologise and hadn’t even removed the dish from our bill.His response was that the food had been on the table for 30 minutes (more a reflection of the slow service) and we had not highlighted it earlier. My husband explained that it was my second helping of the dish and we could not predict at what stage in eating the food that I would find the hair. His inference was clear that he thought we were somehow trying it on. My husband also pointed out that we had not had so much as an apology. The manager maintained he apologised at the table, but all three of us are clear there was absolutely no apology.How a business deals with problems when they arise says a huge amount about how they view their customers. We will never return.

Absolutely fabulous dining experience. Food was divine with small portions artistically displayed and delicious with it. Service was second to none with cheerful servers and a pleasant atmosphere.Great attention to detail in food presentation and each bite was delectable. Great combinations of flavours speaking to this being a superb fusion restaurant.Would not hesitate to highly recommend this superb restaurant. We will be back!

Third time we have been here over the past 3 years. The standard is always really high and hasn’t slid. For starters I had soft shelled crab - crispiest I’ve ever had, and then Persic Chicken and my wife had the beef in Merlot. It was all fantastic. We had green beans as a side dish and it was so delicious I could have just had a plate of that as a main.Just as important to the quality of the food is the high standard of service. I asked our waiter about quite a lot of the ingredients I hadn’t heard of and he described all of them and had clearly tried them.Love this restaurant- we keep it for special occasions but I’m starting to think we should change our definition of special so we go there more often…

We haven’t been to Blue Jasmine for over 6 months but it still didn’t disappoint. Excellent flavours, great portion sizes and very well presented. Great service from Elisha. It’s great that Southampton has such a quality

Really disappointed. Paid 216 pounds for 2 people. Service charge automatically added on. We ordered 2 Chinese new year set menus - really disappointed. Pork ribs flavourless. As a main dish 2 tiny pork ribs per person. Three starters. Again flavourless. Dumplings plain. None of it tasted like it was freshly prepared. Very disappointed to pay 216 and leave the meal hungry. Was not expecting to have to share every plate when ordering our own set menu each. Was unfortunately one of the worst dining experience of our lives. Over priced and without flavour. On a positive note the service was good and pudding was acceptable. Good ambiance. But would really advise others to avoid this place.
