I was blown away by my experience at Ceno's. What a fantastic place! I came for Sunday dinner with family, and it must be up there with one of the best Sunday dinners I've had. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the portion size was perfect! I also had a starter and dessert, and again they were lovely. Service was just right, not too fast or too slow, and a great sociable atmosphere be it in the restaurant or at the bar. I will definitely be coming back!Parking: A bit of parking is at the back, in the Highfield Hotel, but you'll need to register your car's number plate with Ceno at the bar when you arrive.

Great place for a lunch/dinner. Decent service and good tasty food. Ample seating spaces, clean toilets. £50 for 2. Main course dishes are great, ask for availability before ordering. Sides/more than sides portion sizes are below average.

I've lived local to Ceno for many years, and have been a number of times over the years. In general the food is very good, certainly given the price paid. The Monkfish Scampi and the roasts are excellent, and the ice cream is some of the best I've eaten (simple but very tasty). However, the last two times (December and June 2023) have been seriously let down by the service and atmosphere which needs some attention. Previously some fairly curt responses have been received from the person I understand to be the restaurant manager. Most recently (last night) there was a large party group in the restaurant which understandably impacted service, but still we were left with empty plates uncleared for around 30mins, had to ask for dessert, and all with an unapologetic and curt attitude. Added to this, the bar within the restaurant (or is it the other way around) had a DJ in playing terrible music (must be my age) from 9pm, and WAY too loud within the restaurant where a handful of tables were still eating. I probably wouldn't go back again except for lunches.

I was here for a Christmas event, despite it being very busy the food was incredible and the waiting staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Will definitely be back in the near future.

What a great place... a friend suggested here for his birthday lunch... the tapas was fantastic. Super friendly staff. Lovely place! 5 stars is simply not enough!

This restaurant has excellent food but it operates a Parking Eye scheme which is very unhelpful. I take my elderly mother with dementia out twice a week and no-where else fines you £100 for parking. I will not return (although I recommended to family and we've all taken Mum there half a dozen times in the past two months). Very sad that a good restaurant is let down by an unscrupulous parking arrangement,

Not that busy and they still couldn’t get it right. Ordered a burger which was cold and the bottom of the bun was wet and mushy?.Ceno reason why at all.

Our go to restaurant, the staff are brilliant. Food is interesting, tasty and made with good quality ingredients in plentiful quantities. Parking is a doddle in the hotel next door (free) and the opportunity to sit outside when its warm and dry is great.
After a wonderful visit to the theatre myself and three friends went for dinner to ceno I have been many times before and as always the food was excellent so delicious and well presented the staff are so professional and friendly and such a buzz and great atmosphere.Thankyou ceno for the best time.

Delicious food and waiting staff full of kindness.We went on a very quiet night but that didn't mean any compromise on food quality. We had a selection of starters for sharing and then one of the large sides. Everything is excellent, but I'd particularly recommend the sticky lamb.For dessert we shared the mini selection and it was a win, however next time I'll probably go for a full size sticky toffee pudding.The waiting staff were absolutely delightful. Conversation with one was particularly special as she made us feel extremely wanted.I'm told that it's similarly good when busy, so I look forward to returning on any day, and I'll be having a larger portion of the lamb.

We visited Ceno to celebrate my sons engagement,and it did not disappoint. Lorraine and her staff were truly exceptional and it was a very memorable day. Cenos is really one of the best roasts in Southampton without a doubt.
