Never again in Southampton branch, our starter came relatively quick, But our main never turned up after 1 hr, when I asked for our meal we have been told the staff was on break so we had to wait for another 10 min, she was so rude no apology, we told her we are not waiting anymore so we paid for our drinks and starter and left. Bad service!!!!!!!

Just eaten at this fabulous pizza express in the west quay shopping centre, Southampton. We were greeted immediately & sat down in a perfect area overlooking the centre. Thomas came over & took our order. He was fantastic, asked how we were, lovely smile & manner & interacted just perfectly with the three of us. He remembered that my mum didn’t like ice in her water-maybe only a small thing to some but important to my mum. Drinks arrived promptly & our pizzas 15 mins afterwards. They were perfect. Thomas checked all was ok with the food. Despite being busy he was extremely personable & made such a difference to the overall experience. Thankyou Thomas

The pesto dough balls were particularly incredible! We got sat in a really nice place, especially considering it was only two of us. And Aleksandra was absolutely fantastic, really went above and beyond and was just genuinely lovely. I’m not someone who usually writes reviews but her service made me want to write one!

Service was SO SLOW!!! We got our seat and weren’t seen for 20 minutes for drinks orders. Was my partner, myself and my 2 year old. We then had to wait another 30 minutes for starters which was burnt (calamari). The mains came out quick when we asked for them and were good. Dessert took ages to come and any extra drinks too.

We arrived at 12 noon, and after being given menus, we waited ages for our order to be taken, we then waited ages for the food to come, by the time it arrived we had been there for nearly an hour. The staff were very pleasant, and it wasn't particularly busy.

The pizza's that you get from Pizza Express are fantastic, I don't have one near where I live so like to visit the West Quay branch. The service you get is really good, and it's a more relaxing environment than the food court to enjoy lunch. Peter was our waiter and he was fabulous, funny, engaging, which really adds to the dinning experience. We had two pizzas and polenta chips and all the food was yummy, I would recommend getting the app as it is a really good app to have, as you do get rewarded for customer loyalty.

After being seated by the wonderful manager, I was greeted by a lovely front of house staff member named Thomas. He then proceeded to set up a special table for myself as I’m 7’1 and a four XL chest. After attentively taking my order, the food came out so quickly i barely had time to put the keys of my self driving tesla back into my pocket. After a wonderful experience, I pulled out my gucci wallet to pay and leave a tip before leaving.

I have never been more disappointed with service in my life.Me and my mum came for lunch today, our original server was polite and took our order smoothly.Got my starter (garlic bread with Mozerella) which was nice. Not long after, both me and my mum were given our pizzas. At every other Italian I have been to we are usually asked if we needed anything else (chilli oil, Parmesan, black pepper etc). Our server didn’t, which we understood as it seemed busy. After trying our pizzas, my mum found hers a bit bland and we asked a different server for some chilli oil. When we caught her attention she had a handful of plates. My mum apologised as she could see she had her hands full but asked if we could have some chilli oil as we weren’t offered any. When she came back she didn’t bring any chilli oil with her and instead asked in a tone what was wrong with our pizza. We told her nothings wrong with the pizza but we weren’t offered any chilli oil or Parmesan so we would like some as the pizza does taste bland. She proceeded to argue with us, asking if we had asked our server for those things and that our pizzas don’t come with Parmesan instead of just going to get chilli oil or Parmesan? We tried to explain that we have usually been offered chilli oil or Parmesan at other restaurants so we didn’t think to ask our server when she first put our food down and this is why we are now asking her for some?At this point we were fed up with her attitude so my mum asked her if she could change her tone so she walked off and said she would ask her manager to come over. All because we wanted some chilli oil?!?To add to this I am autistic and can find eating out quite hard. I couldn’t Finnish my food after this interaction as I felt far too uncomfortable sat in the restaurant. I had to go into the west quay toilets for 15 minutes just to calm myself down.It was the short haired middle aged blonde waitress. The manager was somewhat apologetic and put our pizzas in boxes for us. Overall this was an unpleasant experience that could have been totally avoided.
