One of the best meals I've had in years. I had the lamb rump special and it was superb - everything about it was incredibly tasty. My wife had the veggie Sunday roast and was equally as impressed. Our two kids ate off the kids menu and were both happy and full. The service was also great and even though we turned up without a reservation we were greeted and squeezed in.Highly recommend.

We arrived without booking and despite being busy they managed to find us a place. Staff were extremely friendly. We have a three year old girl and it is very child friendly. The food was out of this world and very well priced!

1st visit had the burger and it was absolutely amazing. I was staying in the area for work so I went back the next day and had the lamb rump special, it looked great and tasted better. I'm back in the area for work next week and I will be going back.

If only I could leave a 0.We attended my grandmothers funeral on Friday (just gone) and this venue was the closet place to hold the wake.Unfortunately when we turned up, we found Mother’s day celebrations all over the section in the pub where the wake was being held. When we walked in we first thought we got the wrong section in the pub but no, after speaking with the staff this was correct. The young man we spoke to behind the bar seemed quite embarrassed and could see this was completely inappropriate but the owner was appalling. He was lovely. Thank you whoever you were. Her response was that she didn’t know it was quote “a female wake” then when we asked for the decorations to be taken down it was “well will you put them back up”. Seriously. It’s a wake. Someone has just died and my family paid for the food and services (it wasn’t a freebie) so what’s with the distastefulness and damn right rudeness!?It was so out of line. You had balloons and banners saying “happy Mother’s Day”. You knew there was a wake!! We booked it and paid per person. Why didn’t you wait until after the wake on Friday? Mother’s Day is today… my dad thought it was a joke! And your response was what did it. You could have easily just said “I’m really sorry, don’t worry we made a mistake and we’ll take it down” - done. But you wanted an argument and then asked me to put them back up. If this is how you treat customers, then you shouldn’t be in business. You are so rude and thankfully we never have to come back.I just wanted to leave a review as a warning to any other people thinking of holding a wake here. Hold onto your money and go to a venue where they actually care. This one is just after your money! You were really rude to me. Thanks for that. The young lad took 10% off the bill which was a gesture, but wasn’t needed if she wasn’t so rude! Maybe delegate to him and your business might do better ☺️?

Arranged my mum's Wake there, pre ordered food which was really nice (lots of it) and it came with self serv tea/coffee, would recommend.

Good selection of beer, prompt service at the bar and what stood out for me was how friendly people seemed to be inside the pub. This was one of my regular haunts (25 years ago), and I must admit that I didn't recognise anyone in there during my last visit, but I did get friendly smiles from a number of people after ordering my drinks and whilst walking out to the garden. The restaurant side was doing a great trade, so fair play they seem to be doing something well.

We didn't eat on this occasion, we had a funeral and went here for drinks. Bar staff were friendly and quick with serving so many drinks. Will definitely go for food at a later

Went here with my daughter and grand daughter. Lovely pub inside and out. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food reasonably priced. Definitely will be visiting again.Kid-friendliness: Highchairs available and nice environment for children. Sadly no child menu but I had ham egg and chips which was big enough for me to share with a 3 year old.
