Terrible catering for allergies. Staff were amazing though.

A disappointing visit all around. The belt had barely anything on it - at lunch time! And it was just the same stuff going around. When we left there was barely anything left.Fryer was broken according to staff so this meant the only hot food available was fried rice or noodles. This begs the question - is ALL the hot food fried? We couldn't get soup or teriyaki chicken etc etc. This makes me wonder about the accuracy of the calories on the menu.So while food did not even come close to meeting expectations, I have to say that the staff were absolutely fantastic, they felt awful that the menu was barely available and couldn't have been nicer or more apologetic. Left feeling very bad that corporate had left them in this position, it's not right. We overheard one staff member say that this has been going on for two weeks. Shocking.

The staff member said there was no tables available and to come back later. We counted at least 5 tables that were free. Clearly couldn't be bothered to serve customers. Such a shame as it used to be brilliant. Will not be be returning.

Not as good as it used to be and menus seem to have reduced over time (pre lockdown). Staff are

Was told there were no tables available despite the entire sushi bar and 6 tables behind being completely empty. Waste of time considering I drove all the way to Southampton for YO. Will never be back

Yo sushi is probably my favourite place to eat-not the cheapest or closest option for me by any means, but always deliciousVegetarian options: Majority of things contain fish-but as a vegetarian it probably is my favourite place to eat, a good few options for veggies/vegans

For my birthday last Sunday, 10th December, my friends and I went to Yo! Sushi at Westquay. We managed to get a table and ordered food as usual. Considering that the card payments would work we ordered food as per our apetite. The rude manager, Ryan, during payments informed us that we will have to pay cash since the machines weren't working even before we arrived. He kept on insisting us, as well as the adjacent table to ours to pay by cash. He didn't even let us try our luck with our cards. One of us had to encash from a nearby ATM. It was a terrible incident with the manager being rude and not letting us even try our cards. Also, he could have informed us at the time of seating. The waitress was sweet and hence we specifically asked to call her since we wanted to handover the tip to her, he insisted that he would pass it to her and took the tip too! Just as we reached outside, we saw him put the cash in his own pocket!

My wife bought my son and I seats at a sushi making lesson at Yo Sushi West Quay for Christmas. The lesson was really informative and entertaining. Dave, who led the lesson, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He was consistently available for help and advice without hovering or being overbearing and gave great constructive comments when either my son or I had problems, encouraging us to learn with guidance rather than by rote. Having only failed miserably at making sushi at home myself previously, Dave had me making sushi rolls I was proud of in less than half the time we had, and he helped me improve after that as well! The sushi itself was great, and my son and I will be trying to make some at home soon!

Waiter was rude, disinterested and constantly arguing with the kitchen staff. App wouldn’t work to order due to connectivity issues and no assistance there either Won’t be returning

This is the 2nd time I have been here and been told they have stopped serving week before their closing time. We stood waiting at 7pm when opening hours say close at 8pm was ignored by 3 members of staff for 10 minutes and then told we’re not serving any more. Terrible customer service and attitude from the staff and disappointing that again not able to order anything an hour before closing

Had to drink our prosecco out the bottle because no glasses were available. Staff had no interest in speaking to us.

I must start off with the fact we use to LOVE yo sushi. But I have to say the last 2 visits have been horrible, 1st time we waited over 30 mins for our food when the restaurant was quiet.2nd time which was yesterday, 28/10/2023 it took 10+ minutes to be seated and we stood and watched both the manager and a second member of staff walking around stacking glasses *they did look over and see the que of people* but there was no desire to seat customers and the restaurant wasn't overly busy, we ordered our food, at a price of £45 all of our street food dishes were served at different times. We even watched the chefs cook dishes for other tables that had arrived after us before even serving our dishes. Some took so long I had to ask them to give me fresh rice as it had been sat on my table for 10 minutes and gone cold before the other dishes arrived. We ordered 2 cokes, they bought over bottles and disappeared. I had to go and ask for glasses, napkins and soy sauce dishes at the back of the restaurant and walking to my table another customer poked me and asked for service as they had been waiting too. I politely told them that I am not staff and they were absolutely horrified and we're very sorry.I took one dish off the belt at 4.90We were charged £55 in total for a £45 food and drink order and one £4.90 dish.I think we will be avoiding these from now on. They had also ran out of fish and chicken
