“The fish and chips here are consistently the best I’ve ever tasted. Everything is cooked freshly and stays hot in the wrapping. Crisp batter, soft fish and the chips are cooked to perfection. The owners are friendly and welcoming and have run the business themselves for years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for fish and chips.”

“So these our go to one ,deffo for there prawn toast,most takeaways are hit or miss,but these have be consistant ,I dont over phase my self like I used to in my younger years lol ,one because I end up wasting it,and 2 chinese is so expensive as if other take aways..so a few tips if you like,order from there website rather than 3rd party,we saved a tenner,with the usual order we would buy,and 2 share the mix starter for one,then a rice or noodle,or both then something else,you get free prawn crackers..you wont be sorry!,..for 2 we actually spent 30 quid and no waste as it was so good .. we got hot and sour soup,mixed starter (includes seaweed,)_ and crispy chillibeef and singapore rice ..and the prawn crackers....) 2 meat pancake rolls .. the mixed starter ,has chcken satay which is huge,rib,mini spring roll ,huge prawn toast and satay sauce!”

“We usually order from Wok&Chips cause it's in front of us, however as it is closed on Sunday we have picked Shanghai Bay.
We have ordered lemon chicken, crispy chicken, Singapore Chow Mein and crispy pork in sauce.
The difference between the 2 is staggering, Shanghai Bay added so much meat into the dishes that honestly we couldn't believe it, and the taste is just great.
Sent the sauces separately so the meat would not soak, very thoughtful.
I would highly recommend it, for sure our go to from now on.

“I’m a student and I’ve really been missing the chinese takeaway near my old house. Decided tonight to try a different takeaway with my partner because I was unsure of the other one I tried since living here. The chow mein is perfect, delicious and salty with lots of flavour and crunchy bean sprouts. And the egg fried rice was delicious too. So much yummy flavour just like the one from home.Great portion sizes for the price and very yummy. Definitely going to be loyal to Yuansiu from now on :)”

“Got food from here for the first time despite having lived just round the corner for years. We got two savaloys, one jumbo sausage and a large portion of chips. Had to wait a while as being cooked fresh but I would rather that. Very good price and quality. Chips excellent. Will be going back.”
