“I realise that I’ve been to The Welli three times and have never left a review – shame on me! This is one of the best, well organised, well-run gastro pubs in the UK and deserves every accolade it receives. The staff are gracious, warm and welcoming from the word go to the very end and you could, on that basis alone, only want to come back; the food is well thought out with something for everyone and especially game in season; the veg grows yards from the door and is un-mucked-about and left to sing for itself; the wine list used to be stupendous but unfortunately, Covid meant they had to sell their stocks to keep going; so now it is shortened but well-formed. Saying that, they only charged us £20 for corkage which was very generous. We hope to continue going there and that they continue to provide excellence as the norm. Many thanks…… Highly recommended.”
