The venue is beautiful. The staff are excellent. A very comprehensive menu as is the wine list. Great to see local real ale available. Unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. Cheese souffle was bland and not very cheesy. The crab starter was nice but needed more seasoning, with a little more pepper made it delicious. The mains, pork chop was under cooked twice, but the flavour was amazing, the salmon was cooked to perfection but again bland and just needed seasoning.
Attention to detail was fantastic from Simons warm welcome, the venue itself and all those little extras in the room. A wonderful nights sleep in an extremely comfortable bed and a lovely shower with the best smelling products which we are wanting to buy for home. Breakfast was very special too…highly recommended.
Outstanding in every way. A wonderful experience for all of the senses. The quality of ingredients/food/cheffing for our evening meal courses (and breakfast) was just superb and the wines we tried were absolutely gorgeous.
