“As locals, we're delighted that this pub is under such expert new hands (as of Oct 2023). The new manager was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand when running a restaurant in France, and his focus on excellent food at a very reasonable price shines through.Looking at other reviews (from a different manager and team) I need to say that the place is now spotless, the welcome was warm and the service excellent. Improvements are still underway but if you want good food done simply and well for astonishingly reasonable prices, book a table today. Your tastebuds and your wallet will thank you.Update: one month after this review I've updated 'atmosphere' to 5* as the pub is now busy and the vibe is great. Food still excellent. .. and they're the only pub open on a Monday!”

“Fantastic place serving first class food. We enjoyed the service from both Jodie and Lyndsy looked after us well including my pooch who was given a tasty dog treat. Wish I lived nearer, would certainly make this quaint pub and restaurant my localParking: Brilliant”
