We thoroughly enjoy our time here. The food is gorgeous, plentiful and great range to choose from. The highlight was the staff, all are so welcoming and professional, I have to particularly thank Jennifer, she could not have been more helpful and made our evening there. We can't wait to go back...it will be soon. Fully recommended. Book though.

Disappointing boxing day meal. Items on boxing day menu unavailable due to no delivery. Service slow and not at all christmassy for boxing day. Waitress good Lots of reviews lately very similar to each other!!

Fantastic service, excellent food. Lovely environment. Went today for our works Christmas lunch, Paige was amazing, great customer service, very attentive to our table. Food was lovely and everyone enjoyed the food . Thank you to the Whitley bar and block team, especially Paige for making our Christmas lunch so amazing.

Cat was really attentive and her patience with my 11 year old Steak fanatic was just brilliant. It was just my son and me and we went for dinner. He was rather hangry and wasn’t ready to wait until 5.30 so we were able to sit at 5 which was really helpful. We had set menu, shared the starter and had a main, then should have shared the dessert but struggled as we were stuffed. Only gripe was the steak on my main was full of sinew which I know is not a Bar + Block standard. I’m guessing this as it was bulk purchased for the festive menus but there was no issue as I understand. It was cooked perfectly though. My son sent his steak back as it was overcooked but again, this was a very small issue and he’s fussy. It needs to be juice haha. Having a random couple approach us and compliment my son for eating an actual adult meal and him responding that he loves his steak was a highlight. Cat is a credit to Bar + Block! One last moan - there was no popcorn! :(

It was our second time here, and took mum in law who was visiting from Ireland. Amazing once again! We were very well looked after by the lovely Cat, friendly & attentive throughout our meal. We shared crispy beef, spicy wings & burnt end in Yorkshire pud for starters. Burger, steak & chicken souvlaki for mains, all very tasty & nothing was left on plates! Cant wait to go again!

Don't have the festive roast!Worse roast I have had in a long time:Cold veg, hardly any gravy, tiny bit of meat, aunt Bessie's yorkies and cold dry roasties!I did like the pork apricot thing though that was nice.I have been here a few times and food was good previously, we were part of a big table with a few issues with food. Very disappointed considering their food is on the higher end price point and having been for 3 other roasts recently all under this price with the local pub one being much nicer and true to 'with all the trimmings'Feel sorry for whoever designed this dish as a reflection of their Christmas type roast! :-)Not value for money on this occasion at all.However, do recommend the 3 tri desert, def value for money and a bit of everything is always nice!
