We haven't ordered in a few years from here so retired it again last night. Unfortunately we won't be ordering again from here. Food was cold, an the portion size barely fed to people. Very bland too.

I haven't eaten here for a few years but always remember it as being good. This time didn't disappoint. It's really good food with really good, fast and friendly service and I'm looking forward to going back asap.

We had a great meal at Mr So. The food was surprisingly tasty and very traditional which is hard to find these days. The service was just perfect. Highly recommended!

Awful food salty and small portions! Never seen such socking egg fried rice with hardly any eggs in it( you really need to look hard) but instead it coated in oil! Other dishes were salty and the most pathetic fried wantan I have ever eaten! Totally RIP-OFF! It should be a crime! It was so bad I decided to tip the people off outside the restaurant looking at Mr SO manu to share the terrible dinning experience with them and warned them not to be the next victims!Always trust your instinct when it comes to an empty restaurant during rush hour!-100 out of 5 stars!

Worst Chinese ever. Salty and very small portions…absolutely rip off. I strongly suggest you do not waste your money for the quality and quantity of food there.

Arrived and sat down. Free prawn crackers and lovely welcoming from one of the waiters.Looked through the menu and found prices were different to menu stated outside. We ordered soft drinks and then proceeded to order our food.I asked the waiter for no Batter on my Sweet and Sour prawn. She had very bad English and couldn’t understand what I meant. Then I ordered normal sweet and sour prawn.3 of us had dim sum to start but 2 dishes came stuck to the bottom of the steamer. Couldn’t get our dumplings off easily. However they did taste delicious.Mains took a while to come and eventually they did minus mine.I asked after a while when mine was coming out. Host was not very pleasant to talk to and asked the waiter what was going on. She came running back to the table and spoke a bit louder saying “Batter, not possible remove”. I accepted that and told her earlier that I wanted it normal.Went back.Everyone else finished eating their main and mine hadn’t arrived (15 mins later).Mine finally arrived but without pineapple. Gave up communicating with them and asked for it to be takeaway. Host was very irritated with us and we asked for the bill.Bill came to £94 in total. I asked if we could take some money off bill due to my main being very delayed. Eventually took off £4.Some paid in cash and the host proceeded to take payment by card but charged more. Challenged him and said it should be £19.34 each for the rest of us. He complained and eventually accepted it. He left our table after we paid and didn’t even smile or say Goodbye. None of the waiters did.Really horrible service experience and will NOT be back.Really do not recommend.Restaurant was dead quiet too.

Service was excellent and ordered honey and lemon chicken which looking forward to eat, but was disappointed to find the chicken is quite tough to eat and chewy, but was hungry, so ate it, the veg rice is quite good.

Very hostile and threatening experience from the owner. I placed a to go order in which the duck was saturated in brown sauce and very little duck and the other dishes we ordered were absolutely un eatable. When I phone to express my concerns, he started yelling at me and stated "Customers are not always right." And slammed the phone in my face. We packed up our order to return and he was so hostile and and threatening towards me while yelling and screaming at me. On several occasion, he told me to SHUT UP!! I could not believe what I was experiencing. All I wanted was my money back. It was very disappointing as I have dined at this restaurant over the past 10 years and have never been treated as such. It got so bad that I had to phone my partner to come in to witness this behavior. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I suggest that the owner take some time off or close all together as the food and service is terrible

Visited tonight as Winchester was busy with Xmas activity. One of a few restaurants who had availability?..(could have been a sign!..) Food overall was OK We were served by 2 young members of staff. The young man was very attentive as was she. However, the young man, shortly after serving our drinks stormed out, followed by the young lady. Some minutes later the young lady returned, rushed to the back of the restaurant, was seen gesturing and talking to the owner then grabbed her coat and also left. On her way out my friend asked her what had happened. It transpires the boy was just sacked for giving the wrong food to the wrong table! (Really..is that a sackable offence?..surely some better training and support would have been a more positive option). The young lady told the owner he made the young man (who turned out to be her brother) cry. To which the owner said "I don't give a f@#"*?g s!*t" which lead to her also leaving (as you would). She remarked to my friend as she left "last week he threw crockery at me" This was over heard buy another table of guests also who conformed it outside as we left the restaurant together. We left concerned for the young man and disgusted at the way in which the event played out. Ironically there was a sign at the door advertising for staff!! Not a good memory to be left with and will certainly be telling anyone who asks for a Chinese restaurant NOT to visit Mr SO....or at least check out the reviews 1st. And the owner needs to seriously question his understanding of basic human courtesy and respect....or he will need to get that vacancy sign made of something a bit more permanent...
