Cracking beer. Lovely staff. So much eye candy about the place. If I had a pub, this would be it. Well, either this or the admiral benbow in Penzance.Lovely people here too. Open for a chat with strangers. A happy place with fun stuff and nice

Interesting “real” pub. Very loud and full of happy people. Eventually left as too noisy but I can see the

Really quirky pub. All sorts of curiosities inside. Taxidermy animals, tractor bar seats, apothecary stands, enameled advertising signs.... Even a Giraffe's head ? Well kept local beer as well. Well worth a butchers if you're in

Popped in for a quick pint. What a fantastic find. You do spend most of the time looking at the decor and artefacts, but well worth a visit. Comfortable seats and a roaring fire to finish the ambience.

One of Winchester's best pubs. Great atmosphere. Decent beer selection. There's tables and sofas inside which are good if you want a quiet relaxed spot for a meeting.

Pubs fantastic, quirky, great drinks and even played Trivial Pursuit today, highly recommend. The let down though was the food, probably the worst tacos and nachos I've ever had, cold, tasteless soggy and all round just horrible.

A lovely evening spoilt by the obnoxious South African selling food in the garden.A shame as we were hungry. We went elsewhere instead.Manners in the hospitality industry help.Never mind. We won’t return.

Very quirky pub full of interesting curios, well worth a look and explore. Good beer, didn't eat so can't comment on the food.

Great pub with a really good atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food here is not only reasonable but also very nice to go with it. The decor is funky and different, the odd stuffed animal and lots of clocks and a wide variety of different bits and bobs dotted around all over the large sprawling pub. The garden is a functional space with ample seating in pleasant surroundings with plenty of greenery to break it up. All in all the Black Boy is just a good old pub, I usually drop in for a drink if I'm down that end of town. I can't recommend highly enough. ?

My husband and I stayed at the Black Hole, next door and we LOVED this pub! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The eclectic mix of "stuff" in the pub is interesting and fun. Service was super as well. I had shandy's and my husband had a bitter then a cider. We sat here for over an hour, just taking in the atmosphere. We fully recommend trying this pub out...they serve food outside in the garden on certain days but we did not try the food...had already eaten dinner earlier. Lots of seating and easily accessible toilets.
