Friendly staff, incredible food and beautiful old pub in idyllic countryside surroundings.Parking: If the carpark is full there's a church carpark around the back of the pub that I've used previously.Kid-friendliness: Kids food and drink options - sometimes there's a bouncy castle in summer on special occasions

Lovely family run village pub serving good food. Inviting wood burners on a cold winters day. Great find for a mid week stopParking: Parking to rear of pub. OK for cars but bit too tight for larger vehicles (camper van). Lay-by just down road suitable.

Sadly we had a very unpleasant experience at this pub. We arrived for a dinner booking at 6.30pm with 2 small children. We eventually ate at 7:50pm having seen various tables around us being served before us. We mentioned to staff that we had been waiting a long time, and so they initially brought out the children's food after about 30-40mins. Through the various exchanges we had with the manager, he was passive-agressive and unapologetic explaining that the pub was busier than usual due to a quiz night. We were on the verge of leaving when the rest of the food arrived, at which point the same manager emerged and produced a ticket to say we had only been waiting 48 minutes according to their system. We feel that some mistake happened with our order, as it certainly wasn't 48 minutes from when we actually ordered the food (just when it got through their system). In any case, it took several exchanges before there was even a minor apology from the manager. We felt other staff were trying to smooth things over. When the mains arrived, the burgers were somehow overcooked (the childrens earlier were not). They removed one main from the bill as an apology, but this didn't feel like adequate compensation for the really rubbish experience. We have visited the Crown many times over the last 10 years or so, and never had such a poor experience.

What an incredible cozy pub! We were so so pleasantly surprised coming across this gem.The chef has nailed the menu here, offering the classic favorites but in addition to this an incredible offering of mini plates of buttermilk chicken, Wontons, boa buns, beef chilli and more. Exactly the considered editions that set pubs apart. The dessert was banoffee eton mess.. YES. And many more delisious options. Inside the pub is decorated so nicely, clean and has character with an influence of horse racing.Top place, your smashing it & I am certain lots of awards heading your way!!

Excellent food, outstanding service & friendly locals. We’d been out walking which gave need of a hearty lunch & a warm fire. That’s exactly what we got & we didn’t want to leave! Ross who served us was the perfect host. It’s one of the best places I’ve been to in a long while.

We visited the crown inn for a midweek meal while staying at a nearby Airbnb, the owner and staff were very hospitable and made us feel very welcome, the food was very good, excellent pizzas for their pizza oven and tasty wings on "wing Wednesday".

Fantastic traditional country pub with tasty food! Best roast around. Staff are friendly and attentive. In the summer there’s a lovely beer garden and outdoor kitchen and pizza oven.

Fabulous pub in the heart of the county, well worth a visit for this cracking gastro pub! Home made ciders are stand out! There is also accommodation to base yourself there if touring the county! Hereford and the funky (Ross Vegas) Ross on Wye are nearby!Matt is one of the best landlords you will find anywhere!Parking: Loads of parking at the back of the pub!

Really great pub with a nice selection of food. We had some pizzas which were amazing - highly recommend black garlic, olive and blue cheese pizza. Staff behind the bar were really friendly and helpful. A fair amount of free parking round the back of pub and a nice pub garden.
