What a great pub.. we called ahead and they let us stay in carpark in our motorhome. The food was great. The staff very friendly and we felt welcomed by all the team.. we recommend the cheesecake ?

On impulse my wife and I decided lets go to the Oak. Quickly booked a table on line and were there in 30 minutes. Its a very warm welcome from the fire and the staff. Quickly seated in the snug. Very romantic little room - particularly for a lunchtime. With curtains drawn feels very cosy. Very efficient young gents served us together with very friendly young lady. What a great team. My second visit and it will not be my last. I love this place....it is the 'local' we all wish we had - it is a shame it is a two hour drive away for us!! A country pub with rooms and great food; a fabulous ambience and a management team who truly know what they are doing and care about their customers. The real 'icing on the cake' are the people, who make you feel welcome from minute one - the staff are exceptional....so friendly, so much fun, offering excellent service . I booked for one night but an hour into being there, my partner and I, decided to stay an extra night and we are returning later this month. Breakfasts are lovely and the food is very good in the evening. The rooms are very comfortable - we had a huge bed, lovely bedlinen and I love the terrace that comes with Room 1 which affords exceptional views of star filled skies. Whilst there we took part in the Quiz night - brilliant fun and so well organised. There are loads of events planned throughout the next months. We look forward to attending one of the music evenings and we will definitely return for Sunday lunch - I have never seen such a busy pub for Sunday lunch - the food looked amazing - a trip to Weston's Cider (well worth doing) and a walk up to Symonds Yat viewpoint (stunning on a sunny January afternoon) meant we missed lunch at the pub, unfortunately, but the evening meal made up for it. I am counting the days until I return to The Oak.

1st but won’t be the last, the Sunday roast was d fantastic. We made a mistake and made the booking for Saturday instead of Sunday but the staff were fantastic and managed to accommodate us on the Sunday and I’m so glad they were able to help, the roast beef was amazing. The best Sunday roast in the area by far. We took Parker our dog and he got special treatment and his own water bowl and lots of cuddles. Highly recommend

What an amazing evening, new year's eve spent at the oak Inn staplow fantastic food ,and the landlady and landlord and staff made us all feel more than welcome you all are truly amazing Brilliant music to see in 2024

Came here for the first time in Dec 2023. It was a lovely atmosphere with the warm glow of the woodburner upon us opening the door to enter and the dogs that we love being around. We sat down at our reserved table and the waitress came to take out order. It was a busy night but food came out relatively quickly and we can honestly say this is the best tasting food we have had in a long while. We ordered the game pie and the beef bourguignon and the taste was divine. A very large table booking then arrived and we did have to wait for the plates to be cleared and we asked for a dessert menu and we now ordered the baileys and chocolate cheesecake, this was a gorgeous compliment to end our fabulous meal. We are so glad we have found this restaurant and will definitely be back. It was very reasonably priced costing £61 for 2 mains 2 desserts and 2 pints. Keep up the good work we will return and sing your praises for all to hear!

Good quality fairly priced food, helpful staff would recommend. They had all the usual pub favorites along with some specials.
We visited before Xmas. The food was absolutely superb! Staff are very friendly and provide a great service, and to cap it all they serve my favourite lager Asahi (served absolutely perfectly I might add!) I wish this pub was in Ledbury so I could walk to it ?

A very warm welcome from the team at The Oak Inn Staplow! We came as a family for Christmas Eve and tucked into a mixture of meals from roast sirloin nested in the mother of all yorkshires, chicken & leek pie, sausage and mash and fish pie and the food did not disappoint with good prices and a hefty portion for all! Big shout out to the head chef Leo. Also big thanks to the wonderful team who were attentive, a very wholesome set of Carol singers to top it off. Overall an amazing evening!
