Its a Weatherspoons so it is what it is. Not much beats it for quality and service at that price point. That said, we went twice to the Dukes Head for an evening meal and then breakfast a few days later. Food was great and unbeatable value.

We had starters which had been sitting on the chefs counter for over 15 minutes, thankfully they arrived somewhat warm. After that, we proceeded to order two burgers. One of which was okay but the other one was beef and it was overcooked. The grill that the burger was cooked on was dirty and even after returning the burger to be cooked fresh, the new burger still was burnt looking and was practically black in parts. Definitely not the best experience!

Don't usually go in wetherspoons but must admit I was pleasantly surprised. We all had the burgers and chips and everyone of us enjoyed it. Plates where hot and food was hot and looked nice on the plate. Pub was busy. Would definitely go

Nice pub, great atmosphere, very friendly service. The chicken wings and halloumi fries are crispy af and the chips are always cooked well. Always pop in here for quick snacky lunch with the girls, so cheap!!
