33 Etnam St, LeominsterCan’t complain, had a chicken tikka biryani with madras sauce. Was fine but wasn’t the best Indian I’ve had. Personally I would go to Lal Bagh in Weobley, now there you get classic authentically cooked Indian cuisine!

The service we received was very professional and friendly. The food was delicious, well presented and the portion sizes were generous. The onion bhaji’s were the best I’ve had in a long time. We had chicken curry, beef curry,chicken tikka masalas and assorted naan breads. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the waiter very kindly gave us 10% off our order. It was very much appreciated.

Well worth spending hours walking round the shops with of course many breaks in this pretty little cafe. They also offer takeaway.

Market Square, Pembridge, LeominsterWe arrived late in the village on a Sunday evening and pretty much everything else was closed. But we heard people chatting turned the corner to find a few tables outside of a lovely old fashioned village pub.
About 30 mins after our arrival I was enjoying a wonderful minted lamb with potatoes and fresh veg. It was wonderful. (Pretty decent ale too!).
The staff and locals were very friendly and welcoming.

Green Ln, Orleton, LudlowWe decided on a walk to Orleton from Bircher Common, we bumped into a couple who told us that there’s two pubs there - The Boot Inn and The Maidenhead. They said The Boot was the better of the two so we decided on that, the lovely couple however were not good with opening times and unfortunately The Boot is closed on Tuesdays - much to our disappointment. The Maidenhead was open though so we went.
My boys had cokes, my hubby a ‘new’ ale and myself a lager. The establishment is cosy, my youngest son’s head about touched the ceiling. We took a window seat and I had a wander around; there’s a little games room and seating further through. There was a lovely chap at the table close to us who was very nice to chat with. Staff were efficient but not particularly memorable. Great choice of music playing; oldest son particularly enjoyed it.
Maybe it’s just me, because I work in a cob shop I know how I want a cheese and onion ‘cob’ to look and this is where I almost dropped a star. We ordered cob each, a cob to me is crusty this was a basic looking (soft) bap. The filling was good (my eldest had the same as me, youngest a ham salad, hubby a ham & egg) all were content. Also I don’t like food wrapped in cling film unless I’m packing to go out, a pub will have plenty of little plates, I’d have liked my food served on a plate.
All that said I by far preferred The Maidenhead to The Boot and would visit again and would recommend.

9-13 Corn Square, LeominsterVisited The Flying Dutchman in Corn Square, Leominster, and we were really impressed overall. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish.
I had the smash burger, which was really good, well cooked and very tasty. The chips were great too: crispy, hot, and well-seasoned. My daughter had the vegan breakfast and loved most of it, though she wasn’t keen on the vegetarian sausages. We also shared some curly fries as everyone loves curly fries.
Prices are definitely on the higher side, but the quality of the food made it feel worthwhile. All in all, a great spot in Leominster that we’d happily visit again.

I personally love the way the veg and meat is cooked, perfectly to order (never too hard or too tender so to speak) the dough is perfectly cooked with love, thats the key word here, these people put love into their food given the right chef, tonight I got given love in dough with the perfect seasoning, the only issue I faced was mint within the garlic sauce, please chaps, use your heritage of lemon etc, the mint is overpowering and wrecks what the garlic means to the sauce itself apart from that, for a bang for your buck meal? This is it. This is where love lays within food.

The Riverside Inn, Aymestrey, LeominsterI stayed at The Riverside for one night with my husband. We had an absolutely wonderful stay - lunch, dinner, B&B, and we also took advantage of the 'secret' spa facilities located at the top of the garden. Outdoor hot tub, sauna and copper bath, plus I had the additional treat of a massage and facial. All in all, a perfect place to stay. The staff were wonderful, the food is out of this world, the location is a tiny piece of heaven - all in all, a very fortuitous find.
