On arrival nobody at bar, or to greet, young lad took us to a dirty table, which we had to lay ourselves. Slow service all night.Food was appalling, steak not cooked to how wanted, meatballs n pasta was disgusting, just a dish of pasta with three meatballs thrown on top, no pasta sauce. Fish was watery, under cooked, lasagne burnt. When complained was told not welcome again. Disgusting customer service

Turned up without booking looking for sunday lunch. Waitress greeted me instantly and checked availability. Although very busy they swiftly turned a table and seated us. Drinks offered. Bought promptly with menu. Great range of roasts in varying sizes to meet everyone's appetite and dietary needs. Service was best experienced in hospitality in past year being in UK. Price right, quality good. Great friendly efficient staff. Will definitely be back.

Visited today for lunch. Cosy warm pub, open fire, friendly staff, nice atmosphere & great food. We had the steak pie & Lasagne with home made chips - lovely!

Excellent is the word! Greeted by a lovely lady serving us drinks and the menu was fab! I had a fillet steak with proper chips and all the trimmings with a peppercorn sauce and my partner had Pie of the day, which he said was best pie ever. We will definitely be back.

The menu was extensive and interesting, the food was superb, ( It really was fabulous, so well cooked and presented ) the lady of the house was charming, helpful and the service excellent. Sadly I live in Berkshire or would be there every week !!!

A wonderful Sunday meal with my husband and young daughter. The pub warmly welcomed us without a booking and the meals promptly arrived. Not only looked delicious but the roast sirloin of beef roast was yummy. Service was great and there was a fab outdoor play area for the kids. We will certainly be back if we visit this area again. We both had the beer battered cod then the cheese board. The staff and the meals were worth 5*. Couldn't fault the food or service. Highly recommend.

Four of us had an excellent lunch at reasonable cost. Interesting varied menu and specials board. Food well presented by very friendly, efficient proprietor and staff. Good selection of beers, kept in good condition. This place was found by pot luck on the Internet, but how lucky we were to find it. Highly recommended.
