We've eaten here with friends for lunch on numerous occasions and it never fails to delight. This last week was particularly splendid as they were offering a rather delicious(proper) pie of beef, blue cheese...and other lovely stuff. None of your stew and puff pastry lid offerings here thank you very much! Dessert was fab although a little unnecessarily heavy on squirty cream we felt. Get down there and grab yourself a pie before they're gone!
Excellent menu choices and additionally, an extensive specials board. We went "fishy" and had cracking meals. Monkfish scampi was a new one and enjoyed as was the Red Lion Fish pie - gorgeous. The Ludlow Gold ale was a great accompaniment! Lovely staff and a homely pub atmosphere.

We popped in for a cheeky pint whilst passing Saturday evening. Beautiful pub, super friendly staff, great selection on tap. The food smelt amazing, we're planning to try some very soon!
