I was feeling peckish and so I decided to get some food from the Baldock Fish Bar. It is located in the High Street and is close to the War Memorial so you should be able to find it. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. You can eat in their restaurant or you can take it away to eat. I chose the takeaway option and the food was really good. Highly recommended!

The chips were 'steamed' instead of fried , no taste , and texture like wet uncooked fat. really the worst chips i've never eaten . just not good enough.The 'large ' piece of cod was actually 2 small pieces stuck together , overcooked, not fresh at all.The cost was way over the top , for potato sludge & a suspect pair of small cod made to look like one large piece . how cheap.i will never , EVER , go back , for hot potato sludge , phoney fish , or the expense.A completely disgusting experience to be avoided !!!Even pigswill has standards , unlike this inedible muck!!!

This is the best fish and chip shop in the area. Good food at very reasonable prices served by lovely, friendly people. Be aware however they only take cash, no cards or cheques. Highly recommended ?
Great fish & chips. Good price for good portions. Always room to sit in. Only cash, which is a bit annoying when you don't have a bank or cash machine in town.

The best fish and chip shop in the area I live in letchworth always go there with my other half nice chips and the best fish ever good value fir money always can sit in to eat this takes some beating with all the fish shops around letchworth never had a bad meal yet
