Been here a number of times and the pizza is always awesome.I went for the shredder and my partner in crime went for the Toni (like an American hot). I’ve had the shredder before and it’s yummy.It’s a good size pizza (not to massive that you can’t finish it) and not overloaded so you feel bloated. It’s just the right amount of food and a good mix of flavours.They have a pizza of the month so you can get some variation on the regular menu.They do other stuff here too. I’ve had the mac and cheese which I would also recommend.Service is quick and efficient. It can get busy though so sensible to reserve a table either in the eating area or in the bar.They had live music on yesterday while we ate and it was great. The Lancer Indian Cuisine

This is with out a doubt one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever eaten in. The food is always fresh and hot. A great menu choice the staff are always friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble for them.ive also had takeaways from them .every thing I order is always in the bag nothing missing always hot and always a reasonable waiting time. I recently went there for my birthday and was presented with a free round of drinks . Martin.

Deep Blue Fish & Chips

The staff at Deep Blue were incredibly friendly and created a fun atmosphere. The chips were perfectly crisp, and the fish was cooked to perfection - succulent and flavorful. But the true stars were the staff! They went above and beyond, with a special shout-out to the friendly guy who served us. We were laughing all the way home – thanks for making our meal so enjoyable!Kid-friendliness: They had high chairs readily available and even offered a special kids' menu with smaller portions and some fun options like fish fingers or chicken nuggets. The staff was incredibly patient with our little one which made ordering a breeze. Thank you

The Orange Tree

Excellent pub! - we travel to Baldock once a year, and make a point of going to The Orange Tree every time!Lovely atmosphere, real ales on hand pumps! Great food, and some fantastic live music on ! (* last time we saw a fantastic acdc band called " GONE SHOOTIN'! " . Absolutely brilliant night! ).Can recommend anyone to go to the Orange Tree! 5*

Baldock Spice

Fabulous , extremely friendly and polite service. The food was amazing every dish so hot and tasty. Best Indian takeaway in Baldock by far. Thankyou to all of the staff.

The Cock

Great pub! Small and welcoming.Very good beer, high quality/price.We rested and relaxed in this welcoming Pub for two beers ? and some bagged chips. The staff was very kind.Inside you can play darts for free ?.Advised!

Tea at Tapps

Delightful,cafe and garden center, perched on the outskirts of Baldock. We were welcomed by the two resident border collies and friendly staff all adding to the lovely atmosphere this small family run, independent business encompasses. Prompt, polite service and delicious food. We look forward to our next visit.

Chez Burton

We have been twice in one month! So happy we found this fab restaurant. Delicious food, great wine and cocktails, friendly and welcoming staff. Can't wait to go back!

Always love chopstix and the one at Baldock services is no exception. Lovely staff delicious food and quick service, you can't go wrongRhian and Ally serving today and they were particularly goodParking: Services parking free for 2hrs and paid after that, electric charging is available near the exit of the parking area. It is also shared with the hotel on the other side of the servicesWheelchair accessibility: The entire services are on one single floor with ramps up on to curbs, disabled parking is also located right out the front of the main building for ease of access.

The Hen & Chickens

Nice little pub around the back of the main drag through Baldock. This lovely little venue is supportingive music - so why not get down there and support the pub and its patrons?

Been here twice, food is good, service is what makes it though. Staff always happy to serve and the owner always takes time out at end to check if we were satisfied.

The Engine

Haven’t been here in a while but decided to give it a go.. wow now so much more fresh and such friendly staff, female lady on the bar was really smiley and happy lots of drinks offers and we chose the music all night! Had a great evening and will be back soon thank you

Priory Picnics

Greatest sandwich shop ever - humble, honest owner who is down to earth, very chill and clearly values his customers :)This place is possibly the best shop I have been to, I don't know how I haven't written a review earlier. The owner very nice and does not charge you insane amounts for what you get, and in my opinion one of the few remaining places in this town where you can get a good deal.It's not corporate so you can expect the same nice fella Rupert in there every time, and he has practically seen me grow up as I have come here from ages 10 to 16 and throughout he has always been nice to meThe food is lovely too, possibly these are the greatest sandwiches I have ever eaten (as I eat mine right now)Cannot recommend enough - go check it out, especially the wall of favourite sandwiches :)

Templars Cross Lodge

This is now our second stay at Templars Cross Lodge in Baldock. We came across it by accident as a last minute stay for work we are doing in London and Cambridge, and to be honest, were quite dubious as to the consistently high ratings of every single review on TripAdvisor - but we can report they are 100% true! Sally's lodge is a perfect place to stay! It is super clean and very comfortable. If you are travelling by car, then parking is right by your room, and the station is an easy short walk. The best way to describe Sally is that she is on it! She clearly wants you to have a the best stay possible and although the accommodation is very private, she makes it clear that she is on hand (and we can testify to that with her sorting out a little alarm problem on the evening of our first stay without a quibble). What made it stand out for us is that even if you are travelling for work or for family (as I guess many people may be who stop off in Baldock) it feels like a little treat! A lovely comfy bed, super breakfast, treats and drinks all ready for you in the fridge and little breakfast cupboard, soft fluffy towels, lovely bath products and a real sense that there is no skimping, like you always hope it might be (but sadly we find often isn't). Ten out of ten from us. Book (but please not on the days we need to stay! ?).

Opted for the pensioners fish and chips in the restaurant upstairs.This is the second time I have dined here; the food and service are excellent.The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Good sized portions accompanied by a pot of tea.Highly recommendedGerald Vrsalovich

Baldock Grill

Great place, very clean and good customer service. One of the best lamb shish I have ever had. Meats could be a bit less salty for my taste. Some more consistency with chips would be great too, sometimes they are amazing, crispy and not greasy and sometimes they are a bit soggy.

Baldock Fish Bar

It's a fish and chip shop with a seating area to the side to eat in. Offers all you'd expect from a chippy even spam fritters. Reasonable priced. Parking outside.

It’s simply the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to, the staff are extremely friendly, polite, courteous and the food is absolutely stunning, can’t rate high

China Garden

Love the chicken balls , chow mien spring rolls crispy beef was great as always etc , but lemon chicken was abit tough this week .hopefully next time will be good

El Mexicana

Delicious first experience i had a kids meal burrito and chips and it was delicious. Full of flavour the pulled pork with salsa and the chips super tasty. I will be definitely coming back to try this place again.

The White Lion

2021-2022: visited many times, always somewhere to sit inside or outside. They usually have coverings outside and there is a sheltered area too- plenty of space outside.The prices are ok- there’s cheaper and more expensive places. A good variety of things. Staff are pleasant enough.Toilets have always been clean when I’ve visited.I wasn’t in a wheelchair when I visited however I do think some areas are accessible but like with everywhere, there’s always step somewhere making it harder for people.

George IV

Went for the breakfast with Santa and food was great. Kids had a mini pancake stack and adults had a full breakfast which was cooked well and a decent size portion. Santa had an area by the fire place with chairs so the kids could sit and have a chat with him. Even better was the grinch who would come out and sneak around the restaurant, although not sure at first the kids loved it and haven’t stopped asking me if he’s coming back so they can play! The present was a nice Christmas book. We were seated by Andrea and served by Anna, they were lovely and really helpful for a group member who had allergies. Overall really enjoyed and looking forward to the future events, especially burns night!

Starbucks Coffee

Visit quite often on our way out somewhere. On the whole, no issues. But there have been a number of recurring instances where staff just can't be bothered for customers. Simple questions get mistaken for accusations or dismissed without thought or care. Also, there is a bit of a lack of urgency. When service picks up, the staff do not. It can often feel like they can't be bothered being there. Perhaps a motivational opportunity for management who, upon last visit, openly admitted not being present enough on site.Kid-friendliness: There are colouring opportunities for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: All level ground and wide doorways.

Costa Coffee

Whilst waiting in the queue to be served Alan Wardell the barista made sure he acknowledged everyone who arrived with a smile and telling them he would get to them shortly. I love this as it was both welcoming, professional and refreshing. Thank you Adrian.

The Three Tuns

Accommodated us last minute on Christmas eve, we had a cheeseboard and charcuterie board along with a bowl of crispy roast potatoes and pigs in blankets which we ordered off menu & were kindly allowed :) Bar staff were attentive and dining room was lovely and warm. Kids fish and chips was freshly cooked & a great portion size for the price

Great place to meet or rest on a journey. There are many outlets there: food and drinks and a few others. We go there for the KFC as it has a seating area. Easy to get to.
