I popped in last week and enjoyed a senior cod and chips, it was delicious. I find myself back here this week, the food is fresh and delicious and the service upstairs whilst listening to Heart 70’s adds to this lovely experience. The staff are welcoming and you get a nice goodbye too. Thank you.

I go out of my way to go here on a drive to Norfolk. Really, really good fish and chips. Yes, it's not cheap, and yes, the fish can be small, but the taste is tremedous. They do have a rather protective attitude to the vinegar tho...

The food is AMAZING. can't fault it. The only reason I'm giving a 4 is because I called and ordered ahead and was told collection at 6.20. Arrived at 6.20 and order hadn't been put through, so had to wait 25mins. This happened to a couple of other people so maybe best not to offer this service during busy times. Great food and great value.

Really, really disappointed tonight. You advertise on Thursday and Saturday you cook gluten-free food. Turn up tonight *Saturday) with the family, my fourteen year old son is a celiac we went up stairs to the restaurant and then we were told as it was so busy you wasn't serving gluten free any more. Can you imagine how upset he was when we had to turn round and come out because he couldn't eat there. You know it was going to be busy as it was the towns Christmas light turn on, so why advertise something that you knew you weren't going to be able to provide. Shame on you, it is really hard to find decent gluten free fish and chip and when you find 1 to get messed about when it suits the business, it is very disappointing.

Great fish and chips, great atmosphere, lovely little place..... Just be prepared to sell a kidney. Fish and chips is pricey these days. Definitely not a reflection on this wonderful place, just a small fact of life, prices are going up!!

Within two minutes of placing my order for haddock and chips I became aware of an offer for seniors of free chips for every fish purchased and requested a refund for the free chips. This was refused, even though my meal didn’t arrive for a further 15 minutes. It’s clear that their sole motive is profit at any costs, rather than facilitating a promotion for the seniors it was supposedly intended to help. Incidentally, their chip portion size is about half that offered by the other excellent local chippy. Still want to eat here?
