Have used this restaurant many times so surprised when I placed an order for delivery, waited 1hr 45mins to then have to call the restaurant to chase and be told “we cancelled that order as it’s a bit out of our way” phone manner terrible, not apologetic at all or even tried to find a solution. Just go elsewhere - food isn’t worth the arrogance

Don’t order if you have a deadline or hungry children Order requested for 6.30 it is now 7.00 pm and Still no food. Our Thai order arrived on time and is drying out in the oven as I type

The food took so long to come out and we weren't warned over the wait.When it came out the food was a bit cold. Couldn't be bothered to complain as we had been there an hour by then.The drinks were then served after the food!

The Meating Room is a gem on High Street, Berkhamsted. Found the King Harry burger and sweet potato chips extremely tasty, atmosphere family-friendly and our waiter courteous. Price was exactly what I’d expect. Oh, and there’s a bar next door if, like us, you’re not quite ready to go home.
Great service, staff was very friendly and accommodating especially as we came with our 7 month old boy. Burgers were good and cooked as requested. Overall, would recommend!

Dreadful. Such a shame as we've gone here for years and had fabulous food, service, and made to feel welcome. I've introduced friends to it and recommended this place. Well no more. I also don't want to shame small businesses esp hospitality as it's a tough market. However, I wrote a letter and posted it to the owner several weeks back. I have no had no response. In short a horrible rushed experience with four staff standing over us while we ate at 9.25! The places shuts at ten - they didn't say it was shutting early when we entered at 9.05. We were made to pay in the middle of eating as they wanted to cash up at 9.35. We were told to hurry up eating, made to feel an inconvenience. They also turned away a chap who wanted a takeaway at 9.20 saying kitchen was closed. Obviously these junior staff don't want or need the business. Hope it was a good party they went to in Berkhampstead on Saturday night - we had an awful date night!

Placed an order through deliveroo, given five stars on that platform but felt the need to do five stars here too as the food is absolutely incredible!! The St Peter’s burger (cheeseburger) and the batchwood (chicken burger) was the best burgers I’ve ever had!! And I’ve tried many haha. Even their fries and onions rings were top notch so I would Highly recommend this place!!

Having been to the place and had a little bit of the burger that was served - I’ve just been sick. I pointed out to the server that something wasn’t right, he smiled, charged me, I left. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone - the service is friendly - the food - don’t waste your money, there’s plenty of other places locally to go. Worth a visit from the hygiene officer!
