We were at the chefs table and the interaction between Scott, his team and the guests was inclusive. You were made to feel like their friends. OMG what a gem!!!The staff are amazing and helpful the food is to die for. And I am speechless with the desserts. We were so impressed we booked there and then to come back!!!

97 High St, BerkhamstedWe popped in for a drink yesterday afternoon. We were greeted by a member of staff and took a seat. The Gatsby is stunning inside, really special. Staff in black bow ties, decor is lovely, great drinks menu.We had table service for drinks and cocktails, which were fantastic!There was also a pianist and it soon got very busy. There is also a large outside seating area with heaters.Could have spent half the day drinking, chatting, and people watching.We had the table on the stair case away from the crowds, which was the best seat in the house.Will definitely return.

29 High St, BerkhamstedHow's this for good service! Ordered a take-away for delivery by Just Eat, and the delivery guy had two orders and gave us the wrong one. Phoned The Curry Garden and they immediately made us a fresh order, apologised profusely, gave us a bottle of cold white wine and some chocolates. And as usual, the food was absolutely delicious.

Naans are light & fluffy & full of flavour. Only comment would be that a hot towel and choc/mint at the end wouldn't go amiss. Definitely be returning.

261 High St, BerkhamstedWent to Beko for a night away and wanting to watch the Ireland-wales rugby we cave across the George inn which had it on tv . Happy days :) the atmosphere in the pub was dry relaxed and friendly it was pretty busy and the landlord and his staff were on the ball at all times . It was an absolute please to a drink there and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berkhamstead . A propper pub. ?

43 Lower Kings Rd, BerkhamstedI went back for more tried the nigiri and some other bits was evan better than the 1st time.Amazing, light fresh, and surprisingly filling 1st time trying sushi after contemplating it for too long. I tried the salmon avocado rolls highly recommended, and I will definitely be back to try more. Zero has set the bar very high if you like fresh healthy food. This place is a must.

I had a group of 20 who had travelled from all different parts of the UK and who all said the event was one of the best they’d been to.I had spoken back and forth with Sushma for a few weeks prior to the event and she made sure that everything was perfect. She had thought of every detail including the table setting, hiring out the private room and including complimentary extras and a birthday surprise for me. We were able to play our own music and the atmosphere was amazing, the drinks were also great!The quality of the food was some of the best I’ve had in a long time and the service was unmatched.Sushma and the team are so kind and friendly and made my day so special, I’d recommend it to anybody for any event. Thank you so much - we will all be back !!

Everything was marvellous, from the fresh, dainty, delicious sandwiches, to the freshly baked scones, homemade Jam & indulgent clotted cream, to the selection of beautiful homemade cakes.The Girls, were so friendly & welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The decor, tableware & atmosphere added the finishing touch, to a splendid afternoon. Definitely recommend this superb local business. Well done.

What matters to me is that in hospitality, people do what they do well and with a bit of passion.To cut a long story short, we decided to hold my mother's memorial and wake at the Crystal Palace in the upstairs function room and downstairs bar/restaurant. Catering for 50+ people, both spaces were lovely, the food far exceeded our expecations in terms of quality, taste, volume and value and I can't praise Kelly and her young team highly enough for their spot-on service, and making what could have been a difficult day, joyful and brilliantly memorable.I also ate solo a couple of times in the run-up to the day and was equally impressed. All the more so in a town with plenty of competition some of which can over-promise and under-deliver.

My son loves their Pizzas, I have been numerous times to collect and the owners/staff have the best customer service.Especially Shak!! Always having a laugh. The staff are a Thai family from the Chang Mai region of Thailand and they consistently go above and beyond to welcome guests and groups of all sizes. I've been going to Thai Cottage with my elderly grandmother for over a decade and they remember her name and her order each time.The only thing that outshines the service is the food. Curry's that zip with flavour, pad thai that has a street vendor vibe and special dishes like pad gra pow which are true to the taste and ingredients of Thai food you'd find in Northern Thailand. Try the chicken satay, try the massaman with beef, try the pad see ew, try the penang. It's a brilliant local institution that is always full of life and the sort of place where you look forward to every visit and every takeaway. You won't regret a visit.

They also have a full menu of juices and smoothies but I didn’t try any of those. So lovely to see another nice independent coffee shop so nicely run. There is even a nice window bench for you to watch the world go by. Worth a visit in your a shopping in Berko.

I can hear the "real" coffee amateurs who cannot conceive that coffee cannot be "really" appreciated if mixed with milk and/or sugar. Funny enough, I understand that purists enjoy their coffee when for me it tastes like a flat and hot Guiness. Why couldn't they accept others love their coffee sweet and rich?Anyway, Bel Air serves à delicious coffee in a warm atmosphere, still bright enough thanks to its white painted walls.There is also a small terrace right on the High Street pavement.. a place to go, and to return, just to lake sure it's that good.

St John's Well Ln, BerkhamstedLove this cafe. It’s very convenient for me to visit after school drop offs. Very helpful friendly staff. Sometimes they have special offers for scones so I get coffee and scone for £4 which is great. If there is no special offer then I just get a coffee. Good selection of pastries but not a good selection of cakes. The hot food is all prepacked so I would never try it as it can never be good. I like going to cafes that prepare fresh food (affordable) and nice breakfast which you can’t really find in this Waitrose cafe unfortunately. But I love this cafe for my coffee stops.

Little Heath Tea Room
Little Heath Farm, Little Heath Ln, Potten End, BerkhamstedI contacted this lovely quaint cottage tea room to book lunch for my partners birthday and was surprised to find our table with a 'Happy birthday' message.We chose lunch and then a small selection of cakes to finish off.The whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable with friendly service throughout.Well recommended and will come back.
