We loved our dinner at The Olive Tree! The restaurant is so beautifully decorated, it really replicated the Greek vibes. The staff were all really friendly. We had about 10 different dishes and the meal was fantastic! Really authentic-tasting, and good value for money. Our favourites were the gavros, the lamb croquettes, the filo feta wrap, the tzatziki (sounds simple but exceeded expectations) and the garides skaras - lots of favourites! The only thing that could've been improved were the chips. We had the chips with added feta, and the feta was delicious but the chips were plain and not the best quality - they were the only thing that felt not home-made or special. Chips are such a small part though, so obviously not a big deal. Overall we loved The Olive Tree and will definitely come back with our friends and family!

Ordered platter for 2, which looked great, but the chicken wings were so salty, and the greek coffee had no body. Very expensive for the quality of what we had.

Went to this restaurant in Berkhamsted for the first time with family for Sunday late lunch in November 2023. The menu looked very confusing to start with but once you have been there once then you understand the menu and what foods they are. We ordered from the set menu as we didn’t know what to choose as it was our first time. The food was excellent and great attentive service. It was like tapas style so a little bit of everything to share. Loved the chicken skewers and prawn skewers. The bread was great too. We were all happy with the food and the desserts. But it is very expensive … our bill for 6 people was over £240. The set menu was £29 per person plus service charge. But if you go on weekdays there is special offer for 3 for 2 mezes but unfortunately we can only go for meals as a family on Sundays. The toilet facilities were very good and clean.

We hadn’t booked but were happy to have a wait table at the bar. Loved it so much. Really cosy vibe and prefect for a girls catch up. The food was totally fabulous and the staff Vayia serving us and Holly at the bar were just fab. Felt like we were on holiday. Will definitely be in again. I’d Reccommend the bar tables just to be a bit wider as loved sitting there, and the back restaurant be more vibey like the front! Love love!

Booked online. Had to leave card details because if you don’t turn up they charge the card £10 per head! Very friendly welcome. Table ready and we were seated quickly. We each ordered our dishes as recommended. Disappointed the moussaka had run out. Food delivered to table hot. Well presented and very tasty. We mistakenly ordered a carafe (small) of house white (thought it was a bottle). Charged £17 for this which I thought was expensive. Overall enjoyable evening with good food. Restaurant well set out, clean and tidy. Good ambience.

I've been to many restaurants in Berkhamsted, all fairly okay. And a couple of good ones. If you like Greek food, and / or Mediterranean food. You should give this place a try. The staff are certainy friendly and helpful. The menu is well laid out, and the choices are interesting. You can choose from the mix and try meze or just from a set menu. The food is served hot and very tasty. The meze arrives hot and in stages as it's sent to the table as cooked and prepared. They also sell very nice drinks I'm told by my grand daughter, a g and t expert!
