Not enough staff and food appalling. My sister and I ordered Tuscan soup to start (which I had ordered before and liked) but it was totally inedible as it tasted sour as if it was off and we had to send it back, so just had bread that came with it. My main was spaghetti bolognaise which has very little sauce and had to ask for more. The dessert I had was chocolate cake with mascapone cream. The cake itself was heavy and there was only a teaspoon of mascapone cream served with it so again had to ask for more. So the starter, main and dessert were all disappointing. They also didn't have any mash which was meant to come with my sister's main.

Sat down and ordered 4 mains, mine was the braised beef in chianti sauce on porcini mash. 3 meals delivered and then mine arrives late. A bowl of gravy with meat floating in it and a bowl of fries. The waitress drops it with a mumbled "Were out of mash so the fries are free" and tries to quickly walk off. She is gone after saying "Don't worry we won't charge you for the fries!" By now the three others are well into their meals so I call another waitress, and she THEN offers me another meal option. I tell her - 1 The time to do that was after my order reached the kitchen and whatever halfwit cooking realised there was no porcini mash. 2 Dont drop a bowl of overcooked fries instead of the mash and try to scurry away as if it's all ok. 3 I never send food back like that, and at this late stage do NOT want a belated meal from a chef who would try to serve a corrupted version of a menu specified / detailed meal like that anyway. I sent the whole lot back and watched my family finish their meal. I saw this being communicated to the 'manager' and expected her to approach the table - But nothing. The bill arrived and everything was charged apart from my 'main' course. I paid and then said I was disappointed that the 'manager' hadn't done anything, literally NOTHING as a gesture to make the situation a bit more (pardon the pun) palletable. So the waitress THEN got the 'manager' who finally came over and said "I can see if I might be able to give you a voucher". In short, the meal (minus my bowl of gravy and a side of overcooked fries) was £120+ which I paid. I thought that perhaps I'd get a complimentary glass of wine, but nothing. Rubbish management, and the waitress who dumped my bowl of gravy KNEW it was taking the mickey - Hence her unseemly rush to escape after the mumbled explanation. IF they'd come back after we'd ordered and said "Sorry we're out of mash" I would've ordered an alternative no problem. But don't make a party of four wait for meals, balls it it up, and THEN make out as if they are doing you a favour offering a full price replacement AFTER the meals arrive. Rubbish, just rubbish, and it wasn't even busy so the staff front of house, kitchen, and so called 'management' have NO excuse. Beef in chianti sauce OVER porcini mash becomes a bowl of gravy with meat floating in it served with overcooked fries in a separate bowl? McDonald's could do better and it would be a lot less than £120+.

Good range of food options and a step up from other Italian style restaurants. We were in Elstree for the Strictly final and judging by the reflection off the sequins around the restaurant, so we’re many others. Happy to take Tesco Clubcard vouchers, which is great.

Had a lovely experience in Prezzo at the weekend, served by our waiter Korab. Just popped in with no booking. Food was really tasty. His service was very professional, friendly and very efficient. A nice bottle of chilled white wine accompanied our tasty garlic bread, and smoked salmon penne pasta - all round a very pleasant experience in nice surroundings

Really badly cooked food. My meal spaghetti bolognaise was frozen in parts! We witnessed four peoples food going back to be reheated in the hour we were there! Seems they just hire anyone! Will definitely not be going back

Booked tables for a 12 yr old's birthday celebration - 9 children and 4 adults. They had no record of booking and hadn't prepared the tables. Drinks order took ages and then waited another 20 mins after drinks order to order food. Waited 45 mins for food to arrive after that, with 9 other tables arriving after us and receiving (and finishing) food before we received ours. The order was also wrong. No apology and no understanding that making a group of children wait for more than an hour for food isn't great. Because of the poor service there was no time to do the birthday cake, as parents needed to collect their children. Very disappointing.

I took my nephew for dinner, nice choice on the menu the food was good, I asked for the bill, when we were finished it came when I tried to pay. there was no staff on the floor, so I said to my nephew, let's pay at the counter where there was someone there, I got my wallet out and start paying by cash, the guy said we don't accept cash anymore, and the waitress should have told us, but there was no mention when we sat down and was shown the menu, so the guy said this time he will accept my cash

It was lovely sitting in the open air and having a lunch, The grilled chicken sandwich was really nice and the waiters looked after us very well.

Went to Prezzo with the family expecting a lovely evening meal but it was anything but that. Staff were rude, service was slow and we waited well over an hour to be served tasteless soggy pizza, rock hard, overcooked burgers and undercooked pasta. In the end, after much persuasion, the staff knocked barely any money off with no grace or apologies for our shocking experience. We didn’t even stay for desert! We will never ever step foot in Boreham Wood’s Prezzo, or any Prezzo again even if it was the last restaurant on Earth. As this is meant to be constructive criticism, I would recommend a total reconstruction of the business, from the managers to the chefs and waiters. I would strongly advise everyone to stay well clear of all Prezzo’s. Disgusted.

We came here hoping to have a great family meal but we ended up seeing this.Food was terrible! We waited for food for about an hour or even more. The most shocking thing about this is that no one gave us any notice. Pizza was watery, pasta was uncooked it was unbelievable. Burger bun was rock hard too cooked it was atrocious. Tasteless soggy pizza with watery cheese! Staff was little only two chefs in the kitchen. In the end they knocked some money off but it wasn’t done with good grace and no apology. We will never step foot back into this Boreham prezzo or any prezzo for that matter, even if it was the last restaurant on earth. We will make sure anyone who steps into this restaurant knows how atrocious it is. Next time I ought to check the reviews before we walk straight into it!

Quick to be seated. But slow with our orders. Even forgetting dessert that was ordered. Great not to be rushed. But was clear they forgot. Food very very bland. Defiantly not Italian in any form.

Excellent food, all four meals were spot on. The service was as quick as expected and drinks were topped up as soon as we needed them.
