We (party of 6) went on a Monday night while on a work trip and it was everything you would want an Itelian resturant to be!

Lovely food, nice staff and modern styling.

Would strogly recomend as a place to eat when in Borehamwood.

Cacao Bean Café and Restaurant

Oh what a night! Just celebrated my birthday with family and friends at this gem of a restaurant. Mayfair comes to Borehamwood. The food was outstanding, seriously outstanding, matched in quality by the service. Sooraj, Hasith and owner Kushan, are fabulous. We’d be hard stretched to beat this place. Our new favourite restaurant but don’t tell anyone, we’ll never be able to get a table!

The Wellington

We have been coming to The Wellington for some time now and it is our best local pub. This is due to Joanna the landlady and her amazing staff who all do a fantastic job. They are always so welcoming and the service, whether it is just for drinks, or for food is amazing. (You have to try the chicken schnitzel, it is the best). Joanna recently organised a fund raiser with the help of all her staff and other local business people which shows how much she cares about the community as well as the pub. The Wellington is a proper local pub and we are made to feel welcome time after time. There is a lovely garden area and it is dog friendly. We are so lucky to have The Wellington in Borehamwood.

Going Greek

Popped in for a quick bite.
Restaurant was not busy for weekend evening so quite atmosphere.
Chicken gyro was quickly prepped, nicely presented and while not being a huge dish it was very tasty and fresh.

Pumpernick's Bagel Bakery

Ive been here twice i always try different places normally but it was so good I had a second visit . staff and customers are like family ,hugs for welcome. So uplifting ,I brought bagels ? and smoked salmon to take home too

Kiyoto Sushi Borehamwood

Lovely, fresh, so tasty and large portions. This is my new happy place. If you love sushi you need to try this little gem. So much to choose from, cold or hot. My tempura prawns were awesome. Each time I choose something different. I've never been disappointed. Its really nice watching the chefs work, honestly its such an art. The place is really clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and don't annoy you every 5 minutes. Looking forward to my next visit.

My visit today 29/04/2026- Caesar salad:
Do not confuse simplicity for simple, this dish proves the point beautifully. The chicken is cooked to perfection, tender and moist, with a delicious marinade that brings warmth and depth without overpowering. Beneath it, crisp lettuce is lightly coated in a Caesar dressing that strikes exactly the right balance: enough to enhance every bite without drowning the freshness. Crunchy croutons add texture and a satisfying contrast throughout. Altogether, it’s a refreshing, well-executed plate that feels just right for a summer meal.

I had lunch at Bricky’s today and absolutely loved it! I ordered the burger and chips. The burger was cooked perfectly to my liking, and the chips were wonderfully crispy. Great food, friendly atmosphere, and excellent service. I’d definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!

Divan Restaurant

Incredible food with great portion which warms my heart. I ordered the lamb shish and it comes with bulgar rice and really fresh salad, including warm pitta bread and generous dippings. ?

The Arch Restaurant

Had an amazing experience at The Arch in Elstree & Borehamwood. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout. The food was outstanding, with every dish full of flavour and clearly made with quality ingredients. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, creating such a warm and stylish atmosphere that made the whole evening feel special.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a fantastic dining experience. Will definitely be returning!

Sabrina was amazing, truly deserving of a 5-star review! From start to finish, she was professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, even the other servers aswell and their positive attitude made the whole experience even better. It’s rare to come across people so dedicated and passionate about what they do. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sabrina & her colleges to anyone looking for exceptional service. Spice Garden

Pleasantly surprised didn't know what to expect as we have not eaten here before and been working in the area. Really tasty and nice and hot as in temp not spice. All tasted nice and fresh. Just be wary of the service charge as we where not expecting it ,which blew our work budget ?

My two daughters took me out for my Fathers Day treat and all I can say was both the food and the service was top notch. Everything that we ordered was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. This is obviously a well established restaurant will tremedous local support, and passing trade. Next time im in the area I shall definately be back.

A really nice place to eat, lots of room and plenty of space around you.
The food was really good, fab portion size, was very impressed with it. The coffee was spot on.

Overall nice place. All items were good and price was also reasonable. Only one complaint was the okra fries starter was a let down. Apart from this everything was excellent!

Vegetarian options: They have beyond meat options looks like meat but vegetarian. Very delicious and good deals. And good deals for lunch. Also very friendly and fast service. Easy parking

Red Pepper Pizza

Red Paper Pizza is the best local pizza shop in Borehamwood. I really love the way they bake their pizzas, fresh, well cooked, and full of flavour.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for great local pizza. Definitely give Red Paper Pizza a try! ?

Battle Axes

I’ve dined here several times, and the food remains consistently fabby do-do!

Under both Mandy, the former manager, and now Katherine, the staff have been unfailingly warm and welcoming—even to a teddy bear! Katherine, in particular, treated me with exceptional kindness. Mind you, I am the cutest teddy bear she would ever have of met!

It’s a mark of true hospitality when the manager (as well as servers) personally deliver dishes and engage with guests. It transforms a meal into a moment.

Mummy and I shared the fish pie with peas and samphire, served with a bright wedge of lemon—perfect for lifting the salty snap of the samphire. Beneath a snug blanket of silky cheesy mash lay tender salmon and firm prawns, lounging in a creamy sauce like buttery bodies in a bath. A thick slice of sourdough was crowned with a lavish ball of sage butter, melting luxuriously across every inch.

Our friend savoured their pork belly, praising its plump, peppery flesh.

Whether seated inside or out, The Battle Axes offers a grand getaway from nearby Borehamwood—or simply a delightful spot to visit in South Hertfordshire.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here yesterday. The service , from Lottie, could not have been more efficient, the food was very tasty and to top it off the dogs also received a warm welcome and their own menu !

Golden Fry

Our new favourite chippy.
Fish and chips are always fresh and not greasy, generous portions, the batter is spot on, crispy and tasty, the chips are proper chippy chips, good quality food all round.
Lovely friendly smiling staff. Highly recommend Golden Fry if you're looking for decent fish and chips.

The Waggon & Horses

We held a party here in one of the rooms. All the staff and management we're incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Hari who managed large dinner order. Ideal location for a small party, especially with a Western theme.

I previously had the mixed grill, and that was tasty& rich, enough to fill 4 very hungry men. Traditional soups are very tasty(if that's your thing), and was pleasantly surprised about the burgers. The service was really good as well!

Balagan

Balagan is one of our absolute favourites! We’re regular customers and keep coming back because the food is consistently delicious. Their chicken soup is amazing, comforting, full of flavour, and clearly made with care.

The buy-one-get-one-free deal is incredible value as well, which makes it even better. Great food, great value, and always a satisfying order. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cavendish Restaurant at

A warm welcome greeted us. We were shown to our table to wait for my other friends. The waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. I have a garlic allergy and this was dealt with in a very satisfactory manner to even changing the vegetable side dish to accommodate me. The meal order taken and arrived all together. The food was hot, appetising and absolutely delicious. Our meals consisting a risotto, fish and chips and chicken burgers were delicious and enjoyed by the four of us. For deserts we decided on icecream and sorbet ice with various flavours again delicious. Whilst the choice could have been more varied we were all able to enjoy the meals ordered. The young waitress was helpful. Smiling all the time and efficient. Would we go again, a definite yes

Been coming here for a few years and its some of the best fish n chips I've had, and certainly the best value. Mayfair Chippy is similar, Poppies was not as tasty. Highly recommended.

Que Rico Authentic Mexican

The name isn’t a lie- QUE RICO! Truly authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. I have been craving it since my first order. The service is lovely and personal. The tacos come double wrapped. The flavours are beautiful. I cannot wait for the next order.

This is a really lovely chippy. If you order for delivery, they never get your order wrong. If you go in, they are friendly and great with the kids. They always offer a lolly to the little ones too. The food is lovely and always goes down a treat with the family.

Saffron

I got an excellent takeaway from this restaurant last night.
I ordered the Onion Bhaji starter, Chicken Tikka main, King Prawn Madras and Keema Rice.
The portions were generous and the food was of a really good standard.
All in all, it's the best Indian food I've had in months. I will definitely be going back for more.

Lakeside Chinese Takeaway (Borehamwood)

Has to be the best chinese I've tasted. They also have big portions. I've ordered twice from them for my wife and I and honestly it's been on point both times. They will be our future go to from now on!

HK Central

Always delicious, quick & either get extra crackers or fortune cookies! I’ve been going here for a take away infrequently for years & years. When I ring to make requests like calling when outside instead of knocking or to change my order, they are very helpful.

New Lantern House

Been searching for a good Chinese take away in Borehamwood since we moved here 18 months ago. Must say from the outside it doesn’t look appealing but gave it a go and the food was superb. Gave it another go and yet again, another awesome meal. Food super hot, fresh and very tasty. We’ve kicked our old place into touch. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
