Booked her for mine and my friends Birthday as we had a bottle of prosecco voucher, rude to refuse it.The meal was very tasty ,we were going to have a dessert as we had been given another voucher, unfortunately we couldn't use that as well so decided not to indulge. We will be back, thanks Kirsty for being so welcoming and efficient

We came for lunch for my birthday and couldn’t have faulted the Crown. We had someone with an allergy and she was so understanding and took the time to talk through the menu with us. She was so lovely and so attentive. Thankyou so much Kirsty. We will be coming back !!x

A group of friends and I stopped here for lunch after hiring a boat for a trip on the river from the Lea Valley Boat Centre (another excellent enterprise). We received an absolutely delightful, enthusiastic welcome from the staff. It made us feel really valued. We sat in the spacious garden by the water, sheltered from the hot sun by huge trees. As well as Starters and Mains, the Crown offers a lunch menu which was not only delicious but very reasonably priced between £7 and £12. I had a hot beef brisket sandwich on toasted sourdough (scrumptious) and 3 of my friends chose the unusual Smoky Jackfruit Wrap, which they found equally tasty. We loved everything about the Crown and I cannot understand why the Tripadvisor rating is only 3. This pub deserves top rating and I will definitely return with other friends. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable experience.

I’ve visited this pub numerous times so far this year and always have a very positive experience. The decor is lovely and if you have time to take a look at some of the framed pictures on the wall, you will see some interesting historical features including the old Broxbourne mill and canal related pictures.Beautiful venue location, spacious outdoor garden, quaint atmosphere, clean bathrooms and totally dog friendly (they offer a water bowl and there are charitable treats you can buy at the bar)Despite some of the other reviews, I have personally never once had a bad meal here. The menu has changed a little since Feb/March and occasionally they have a different dish as a weekly special. We booked a birthday lunch here and bought our own cake, the kitchen arranged the cake on a plate along with lit candles (that we had brought ourselves) - the staff were very generous to help us with the birthday surprise.

We were so happy we went to the crown on Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend. Second Time around! The pub itself has a warm and welcoming vibe. - The Host was a gentleman and offered us a table at the bar. We ordered our food and drinks ( a vast selection is on offer) with the bartender. - Tess was very friendly and helped my wife and I pick our dinner options! - Thank you to all the staff and what a way to celebrate the Queens Jubilee!

I visited today with my best friend, my 4 year old and 1 year old and the lovely waitress couldn't do enough for us. From sitting us in the booth table so my little boy could be comfortable to even finding us a screwdriver for a new toy my best friend had bought my boy for his birthday so batteries could be put in (preventing any tears). The food was great and not overpriced. They even gave us a free pack of duck food to take for our walk along the river after. We'll definitely be back.

A huge shout out to Kirsty (Manager) and Karen.... amazing service! After an error with the on-line booking system (allowed us to book a table for dinner last minute and quite late) we arrived for dinner on the Jubilee Bank Holiday Thursday - only to be advised that the Kitchen had closed an hour ago and the Kitchen staff had left for the day. However, the fabulous Kirsty not wanting us to go hungry offered to cook for us and provided us with a limited menu that was varied enough to cater for our vegan guests! The food as always was great, good portions, well presented and enjoyed by all. The pub itself is lovely and has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We were served by Karen who really looked after us, - I honestly cannot thank Kirsty enough.. we were starving after a long long day travelling and Kirsty saved the day! All staff were very friendly - it is great pub, that serves great food - I would highly recommend and we will be back again!
