Great coffee shop. Lovely staff. Great atmosphere. Coffee and food delicious. Always busy. Just a nice place to sit and relax with friends or family

Simply delicious food on offer made with high quality ingredients plus it has a wide range of coffee on offer all served with a huge smile by the family that own and run this fine business which is more than just your average coffee shop. This place gets really busy so be prepared to wait its definitely worth it. One of the best coffee shops on the High Street and a 'must try' place to visit.

Terrible, the person behind the counter at 8am was clearly not happy to see us ( maybe too early for him) then after we finished with our coffees asked us to leave the table for other customers. Never experienced this before, doesn’t really matter since there are plenty of other places for coffee and food in Harpenden

Went in for brunch, was made to feel very unwelcome from the get go the owner was clearly annoyed that my pushchair was taking up too much space. Had 2 children under 2, and was waiting for my husband so sat on the benched seating sat my child next to me with the idea of my husband to sit opposite but was basically told could only have one small table and was given several dirty looks whilst waiting. Such a shame as we are always looking for nice brunch spots and would have been a regular. Not nice to leave somewhere feeling upset and not welcome. A bit of kindness and friendliness goes along way.

Regular venue for brunch or coffee whenever we visit Harpenden. Very relaxed ambience, friendly staff… Food is always freshly prepared and served. Excellent healthy choices suitable for vegan ? and vegetarians.. I usually create my own breakfast ?(Sourdough bread, avocado, poached eggs, Salmon & halloumi).. A gem of Harpenden awaits to be discovered!

We visited today (Sunday) at 3pm and felt an absolute inconvenience. We ordered coffee only as everything else had been cleared away, one hour before closing time! We couldn’t sit indoors as that had all been cleaned for closing so we headed outside. Whilst we were drinking our coffees we felt we were being hurried to leave as the young lad was folding tables around us as people left so that no one else could sit down! We were sat right next to the window where a female staff member was cleaning it right next to us at 3.30pm! I suggest you close at 3pm on a Sunday or employ staff who want to serve food and drinks up until 4pm as no one wants to have people folding tables around them and cleaning windows when they have paid to enjoy a coffee in what are usually nice surroundings. This is only my 2nd negative review out of 55.

I have been meeting a friend here on a Sat. morning and love that I can take my Golden Retriever. Good coffee, lemon cake and blueberry muffins are lush. However, although the young staff are lovely am I the only one to think the Manager is grumpy, sour faced and rude? So much so that my friend says she no longer wants to go

Good coffee and lattes. Fast friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfasts are also good. Sometimes popular with cyclists and welcome dog owners, nice outdoor area.

Really speedy service. Gets very busy over lunchtime as you'd expect, so not great for quiet working space but good atmosphere overall. Not much phone signal, so if you need to take calls it's not ideal.

A really decent little place for a top quality coffee or a bite to eat. Freshly prepared and run by a decent chap with his family also working there. Always busy- and for good reason. Happy to recco this place. Thanks.

A nice cafe, comfortable and a nice atmosphere. I think we were unlucky with our visit as the coffee machine wasn't working and the poached eggs were overcooked, however the rest of the food was delicious.

Very nice dog friendly independent cafe. Loads of indoor seating and a couple of outdoor tables. Lovely bagels and coffee, and cake looked very tempting but resisted. Great service and clean. Lost a star as at £20+ for 2x coffees/bagels/crisps expensive.

Good breakfast/lunch menu with options not at your average cafe. Had the shakshuka here which was delicious! Packed with flavour and a good portion. They also always have a good selection of cakes/pastries. However, should not be using single use plastic cups in 2023 for water inside a cafe. It’s unnecessary.
