Busy pub in Harpenden. Service was very slow, it took nearly an hour from ordering for our food to arrive. Despite the wait I did enjoy my meal and the staff were friendly but there weren't loads of people eating, so not really sure why the food took so long. The ceiling has twinkling lights which is very pretty and there is a covered/marquee area on the back of the pub for private parties etc. Smallish carpark right outside.

Absolutely perfect experience, Sarah catered for us with her usual friendly and professional way. Nothing was too much trouble, as usual, and despite being very busy the food came out quickly and piping hot. The cuts of meat were spectacular, we were amazed at the quality and especially quantity - cooked to perfection. Hand on my heart, this was one of the best roasts I have had and I encourage you to experience it for yourself. By the way, the amount we spent was grossly inflated by a boozy afternoon!

Ordered off uber eats. Always sceptical of pubs that do delivery. Ordered pork belly bites, nachos, halloumi and chicken wings. Absolutely blown away. Everything was fresh, hot, tasty, massive portions for the price, lots of extras like dips, and offering £5 off on uber eats. Could charge alot more for their food as its delicious and will certainly be back

We have been to the Amble Inn a few times for food and to use the lovely bouncy castle - both have been great and it is very family friendly and reasonably priced. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it on that basis alone! Another reason to support it is that this weekend my husband was crossing the road just outside the Amble Inn with my two young children when my son fell off his bike. Two of the bar staff at the Amble Inn saw this happen and rushed outside. They helped my husband to get both children out of the road and then cleaned my son’s grazed elbow and gave him a plaster, offered him a drink and made him feel better. We were so touched by their kindness and generosity and this is exactly the sort of caring, community-minded local business that we are happy to support. We would really encourage others to do the same!Kid-friendliness: Bouncy castle in the garden on Sundays!

Super steak burger cooked fresh in the outside garden kitchen as I sat in the beer garden. Fast service and it tasted great! Highly recommendKid-friendliness: Bouncy castle in the garden says it all!Parking: Plenty of parking out front. No issues finding a space. Depending on where you sit in the pub, can can see your car if you sit near a window.

For me the best pub in Harpenden!If you are looking for reasonable prices, excellent service and fantastic food this is the place to be.Kids will be delighted with the large garden kitted out with a bouncy castle. There's an outdoor bbq and bar to keep the legals happy.As aforementioned the staff are fantastic and go beyond to make you feel welcome.In short a great family friendly pub that you should give a go.
