First visit to Thompson Close Cafe and will definitely be returning. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being over bearing, lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. There were 4 of us for brunch and we all really enjoyed our meals. Also reasonably priced.

I was staying in Harpenden for a 45 year reunion of school friends, and looked for a place to have breakfast before heading home. Google search found only two places that opened at 8am, so I chose this, Thompsons Close Cafe, and what a fantastic find! Very friendly welcome and chat with the owner, superb full English breakfast cooked by the Irishman himself, excellent coffee, and great value too! Will go again and definitely recommend it.
