Very clean and tidy. Harris and Hoole train their staff well and it shows in good coffee, in contrast to Costa where you just have people pushing buttons with bad drinks made from burnt beans. The filter coffee I had here was a fresh pour over made just for me. It had real flavour. My banana and chocolate bread was good and my wife’s avocado on bread were a good portion. The white thing on top is the egg.

I bought 2 capucinos and 2 avo toast and paid £20. The capucino tasted like mushrooms and the toast was disgusting. A mountain of avo on a slice of bread not even spread properly,no seasoning . Such a shame I did not take a picture of it. Stay away do not waste your money here.

Expensive.. 20£ for 2 cappuccinos and 2 toast with avocado really ? Its this Tesco or Harrods ? Coffe taste a mushroom’s , avocado has no salt or anything just plain smashed avocado on a toast

Clean, quiet, comfy and my roll was very nice ?All the seating was good. Limited options for food for the size of the Tesco it’s attached too but it was really nice ??

myassessment

Overpriced, coffee not very nice at all and some staff definitely have an attitude problem. The upholstered seating looked absolutely filthy.

Friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend after a long shop ?

Used to enjoy brining the little ones here but last time was awful, decided to give it another chance and it’s absolutely filthy - food crumbs and coffee spills all over and under every chair and table!

This is a coffee shop with very good coffee and the best sausage roll I`ve ever had. Nice friendly staff and well maintained. Can get busy, but service times are no longer than other High Street brands. It is not owned by Tesco, but is used by Tesco staff as well as their customers.

Went for coffee on opening 9.30 on Sunday. First time I had used the place and was meeting a friend. The fabric seats were a bit stained but worse, they were coved in crumbs from the night before (the store had just opened for the day at 9.30 Sunday) I wanted a table ner to the big window to look out for my friend but they were dirty. I asked the yound man if he could clean a table for me and he begrudigly came over and then told e the table was not dirty, just old and stained. I ran my hand over it to show it was coved with sugar and who know what else! He begrudginly cleaned it and the lady at the counted shouted out "we have just opened, give us a chance!" I commented that surely the place should be wiped down at end of shift the night before! My frien arrived and I was have a private conversation with her about going elsewhere as the place was clearly dirty and I woud worry about the food and cups etc. With this the lady again shouted "out if your going to be rude then I wont serve you" I pointed out I was having a conversation with my friend and I had not even spoken to her so how could I be rude! With this we left. Avoid!! If they cant even wipe tables down at the end of shift, what do they do with the food and other stuff. I hate to think.

Well what can I say.To start with had to clear own table all tables dirty ,chairs ripped and just generally grubby. My partner and I ordered a pot of tea and poached egg on toast. The food came quickly but the egg was cold .Staff then called when tea was ready which you couldn’t hear ,so if elderly and hard of hearing stood no chance The tea cups were dirty too. I can’t even say the staff were friendly probably because they were understaffed and run off their feet .

Today I had a horrible customer experience. I was refused service because I had an old £50 note, which is still legal tender. No amount of explanation helped. I had no option but to leave and go elsewhere, after years of faithful custom.- - - - - - - - - - Previous Review - - - - - - - - - -Without any exaggeration these guys are absolute coffee geeks and to be honest, this is by far "THE BEST" coffee on the UK High Street. I always make a point of visiting here whenever I am passing. This will sound like a strange thing to say but their Lattes are smooth, velvety and have a slight nutty taste. These guys in all seriousness have set the bar so high as far as coffee goes that I can no longer drink the burnt tasting stuff that their competitors offer. Oh, and their sausage rolls are something else too.

Always love a good coffee shop and this one inside Tesco's Extra does a great bacon roll.

I'm an old man, finish my shopping, bill in tesco's was £37. Popped up stairs for a cup of tea at Harris+Hoodle, tea £2-45 = 15 cups tea is my shopping bill. Told them to stick it and left.?
